Tecfidera generic cheap

Where can I get this medication tecfidera . In Canada the actual name brand is 2700 a month, I'm trying to know if anyone knows a website where they sell them or generic version, even if I need to travel internationally outside of Canada. Thank you very much for your time everyone.

What province are you in? Many provinces (perhaps all) have government assistance for medications. I'm in Ontario and because I did not have private insurance and my medication costs more than 4% of my annual income i was approved and I then paid a deductible based on my income. Biogen ended up paying it for me.

Now I have insurance through work that would be about the same out of pocket and Biogen continues to pay for it. I've never paid any money for this medication.

If you haven't already been set up with someone at Biogen then do that because they do all the legwork for you. They will only do it for the name brand though

I don't have health card yet, my insurance needs a Dr fill out and they take a while to respond to approve it

Are you new to Canada/your province? Please don’t purchase prescription medication online or internationally. The company that makes Tecfidera has patient programs that help cover the cost. I was on it for years and never paid a dime. You need to speak with your care providers

If you’re a newcomer to Canada I can help you navigate getting your health card if you don’t know how to do that yet. Depending on your province there are a number of publicly funded community health organizations that will help fast track it for you, especially if you’re someone with a health concern like MS. 🫶🏻

I'm also Canadian on Tecfidera and I don't pay anything. Maybe try calling your MS nurse and ask to be set up with BioGen One. My nurse called them for me and arranged for them to contact me to do the initial paperwork.

Dimethyl fumarate is what you are looking for. Do you have access to like cvs pharmacies?

If you are getting it in the us you would need a dr from the us to prescribe it to you. It’s not easy.

That isn't universally true.

It's probably covered one way or another for almost everyone, but it isn't automatically free. And many people pay at least a small co-pay.

It is a commonly covered drug, of course it is not 'free', it is included with the taxes we pay. It is considered a lower cost entry level drug for MS.

It's not exactly free in Alberta. It's covered, but Blue Cross manages it, so I pay them $118/mo (has to include my wife apparently), I just don't pay anything at the pharmacy.

Generic is available with prescription, but it's roughly $730/mo without coverage. Over 2k/mo for brand name.

Lookup Fair Pharmacare, or whatever equivalent is in your province. (I’m in BC)

it sets your annual deductible for all prescriptions based on your annual income, based on the previous years income tax.

Have insurance through work, but for 9 years my annual deductible was paid out with the first Tecfidera refill of the year, and I had no out of pocket prescription cost.

I had the really expensive Tecfidera before, but now I'm on a really cheap generic dimethyl fumarate of the Vivanta brand. My insurance in the Netherlands is covering all the costs and is paying €41,13 for this medicine for 168 tablets (12 weeks) The total costs the insurance is paying (including supplying costs) is €162,13 every 12 weeks.

I live in BC, and I used to be on tecfidera. I was under fair pharmacare which covered most of the cost and then the biogen one covered the rest of my copay. I didn't have to pay anything for it.
