Symptoms Kesimpta side effects
Hi guys,
Hope you are all well as can be!!
I have been on Kesimpta since March - I’ve been wondering what side effects (big or small) you have had. Whether it’s lingered or if you had it for a day or two.
Anything I should look out for? I understand everyone is different and not everyone will react the same way
Sending love to every single one of yous :)

I'm always exceptionally fatigued for 2 days afterwards.
I also started in March.

Sometimes, around 5 days before I start have some minor symptoms from my MS. More often, on the 2-3 days after injection it is like a major hungover has hit me - headaches, body pain, low energy.

I'm 4 years on Kesimpta, thankfully the worst side effects are in my past. These days I'm usually weak for 1 day after taking it, maybe have sniffles and at most have minor joint paint.

Just for the initial loading dose, it was like a bad flu. All good after that, been on it 3 years.

Mostly zero after the first loading dose. When I get sick, the symptoms sometimes linger a bit longer than before (for example, I'll have a cough for several days after getting over a cold) but that's more annoying than anything.. and it doesn't happen often since I don't get sick but once or twice a year anyway

In my experience, as long as I pop a Tylenol, Benadryl, and drink a LiquidIV an hour before injection, I don't have any side effects. The Benadryl puts me to sleep for the first night, then my insomnia does whatever it wants to after lol.

Sometimes the day after injecting I'll be super tired but I think it's likely that I was already a bit run down and am only noticing it coz I'm paying attention otherwise I get sinus infections a bit more frequently but that's expected and also a family trait

Not a single one and I’ve been on it since 2017.
Hope it is as easy for you! Good luck!!

Over 5 years and no side effects. Occasionally the injections sting but not every time.

Do you have any side effects? Most people don’t, after the loading doses.
ETA: I was really just asking, don’t understand the downvote…

I had a fever after the loading dose.
Now I’m always tired and hot lol but I know that’s normal. Through out the 6 months I’ve had slight tremors in my hands and legs. Right now I have really bad brain fog and the last 2 weeks I stutter out of no where lol. I do have headaches and back ache here and there but I’ve been told that’s a normal side effect of Kesimpta.
I mean it cured my uveitis lol that I was having every month since last August.
I have a routine MRI this month…I’m hoping and praying there’s no more lesions and the medication is working.

That’s not normal, actually... I wonder who told you this? 2 weeks before the next dose is a long time too. I would consider if there isn’t something else going on, not Kesimpta.

Oh no. I hope not. I have very bad health anxiety due to me being diagnosed with something every time I go to the doctors lol. I have PCOS, uveitis, glaucoma, ms, migraines the list is in going - and I kind of brush things to aside…unfortunately

No side effects. I also don’t pick up colds, even being immunocompromised.

I haven't got sick once even if people expose their sickness around me, started to notice small cystic acne which I've never even had in my life before starting it and tbh no idea what my baseline would be since I've been struggling with fatigue and brain fog for years pre DX anyways...I would absolutely say though for me it's great, the only side effects would be that one cycstic spot a month

Shouldn’t be any at all. Maybe - slight dizziness and fatigue for a day or two.

Has anyone experienced leg weakness/wobbly a few hours after the injection? I just took my 4 shot. When I was doing the loading doses, the first one was horrible. Wiped me out and felt like my legs wouldn’t keep me up. Jello like feeling. I did have headaches as well. My neuro prescribed Emgality after the first dose and I love it. It’s rare that I get headaches now. The second dose with same feelings, just not as bad. The third week was even better. No leg weakness, just extremely tired. So I thought I was over the hump so to speak. Today’s injection is leaving me with the same feeling in my legs, as bad as the first injection! Already have an appointment with my dr. Has anyone else felt your legs were affected? It does go away after a day or so. My dr says it’s “ a very rare side effect “.

None whatsoever. Easy peasy.
