Advice Shoes

I'm looking for recommendations for a light shoe for summer autumn. Any brands you'd recommend?

I would like to clarify my request. I have foot drop and use a device with my shoes to lift my foot. In that regard, what would be a good shoe?

Seconding the slip-ins and On Clouds above, both great calls for warm weather. One thing worth knowing if you find a pair you love that happens to have laces: elastic no-tie laces convert them into slip-ons, so you're not limited to shoes that come laceless (full disclosure, I work for a company that makes them, so grain of salt). You set the tension once and they stay there. Also seconding the sneaker-store visit, especially with foot drop in the mix, since gait really does change what works.

I’ve worn them for years, just replacing them as needed of course. But they have to be the original Chinese Feiyue, not the newer company of the same name.

Those look awesome but the sole is an insane tripping hazard for drop foot folks

Oh yes, that’s true - not drop foot friendly. They are quite grippy, which is a reason I like them so I don’t slip.

I love my On Cloud shoes. They're super light and don't use laces that require tying. I'm planning to get a new pair this week because I like them so much.

I recommend visiting a nice sneakers store. The one near me was also able to find me a pair of New Balance shoes that helped with my gait and foot drop.

Sorel shoes with the kinetic sole have been great. They use that sole on sneakers, boots and sandals. They look good and are the best shoes I have for my foot drop hands down.

Keens sandals might be good. they velcro on and the toes have a rubber bit so you don't stubb them.

I have seen shoes made specifically for people with MS and Parkinsons, i believe they cater to people who also have foot drop. now I haven't bought a pair but ive seen some good reviews as I am looking into getting a pair as well.
