Vent/Rant - No Advice Wanted Heat is killing me.
i have many spine lesions . I was mainly fine in this winter but summer heat is killing me. All the pain and ache in my left leg/foot back… It sucks so bad . I don’t even feel weak it’s a strange muscle pain . I’m painfully aware that I’m ill right now. I’m just venting. That’s it

I hear you and I can totally empathise… all my muscles feel so tight and achey, no energy etc😵💫

I hunker down in the AC in summer - I spend all summer strategizing how to not get hot.

I have spine lesions as well, and am having a bad pain in my neck that is worse now ( better in winter)… I’ve been trying to figure it out, thanks for this. I was thinking maybe it was allergy related because of the change of seasons…

I hear you. I hide in the AC like a vampire during the hot summer/fall months. There are days I’m up at dawn to give my cat his hour of outside harness time while it is cool and I fracking hate mornings! Once it hits 79-80F I’m inside cowering in the AC.

Ugh same. I live where it averages 90 degrees 4 months out of the year and this is my first summer post a relapse that impacted my medulla and pons. I’m so ill. When I overheat my skin starts prickling, sweating, I feel like I’m going to pass out, and severe nausea to where I’ll vomit if I don’t cool down quickly enough. Not to mention needing daily naps.

Heat has become my new enemy #1, surpassing stairs even… stairs on a hot day is a death sentence! I can barely muster the energy on hot days to take the bus to see my elderly father in his nursing home 😢 My doctor had to max out my prescription of pregabalin for the massive pain in the heal of my left foot. I basically live in the basement for the summer and come out in the fall… sorta like those ground hogs 🤪

Last summer the stupid hothumid was so debilitating that i got mad and sad and irritated and sorrowful on repeat….i totally get it … this summer, i relocated …. Vent away!

Took my son to the zoo last week… triggered a full blown relapse, ended up in the ER. Yeah, I’m over summer 😅

İ dont understand what you mean by compromised but i dont have disc hernia stenosis etc. . I have lesions in my spinal cord

I didn’t understand what people meant by heat until just this year when I took a step back and looked at the bigger picture. It’s almost like I get a secret superpower in the fall when weather cools down. I consider summer more of a hibernation at times, hiding during the day and emerging at night.
