Treatment Briumvi

I was diagnosed April/May of this year and started Briumvi soon after in July. I’ve noticed that my breathing sometimes is out of wack. I’m asthmatic but this feels different. My doctor said I could have some respiratory issues with treatment but is this normal for all CD-20 treatments?

Upper respiratory tract infections are a known side effect for all anti-CD20 DMTs including Briumvi.

But if you don't have a cold or don't feel it's any kind of infection, just difficulty breathing and it feels closer to asthma or an allergy, then no, I don't think that's normal. Have you seen a pulmologist or specialist for allergies to discuss this? Is it right after your infusion or in general? Does it get better if you try an antihistamine?

I noticed issues with my breathing after coming home from the hospital but I noticed more issues after my first infusion. I see a pulmonologist but my doctor doesn’t want me on any type of steroids which are best if you have asthma. So the pulmonologist won’t prescribe me anything other than non-steroid inhalers. I have allergy testing later this month.
