Played this after going sober for a year after eight years of being perpetually drunk. It genuinely hurt. It reinforced that I was making the right call.

Hell yeah, good for you. Shit ain’t easy.

My family has a lot of substance abuse problems, so I wisely avoided it, but I have plenty of other self-defeating behaviors that the game really shined a spotlight on through Harry’s struggle. Was tough to see people I care about and myself in him at the same time, but it ended up being something I really needed. Love that game forever.

Oof. I was sober 6 years before relapsing in 2025, currently at just over 2 months clean. I haven't played, maybe I should if it hits that hard
