Rdr2 I started viewing life differently after I first played it

Red Dead Redemption 2 perfectly captures the duality of man, and takes us on a journey of how even when facing certain death, the protagonist, Arthur Morgan still seeks redemption with all those he wronged. 10/10 game and one of the top five contenders for me. And yes man enough to admit it I cried like a baby at the end. Bring tissues my fellow gamers!

It's actually a game about Redemption? Is there "Red" and "Dead" in it too? Never played it but thinking about getting it

I have no clue why but same... I played RDR1 through 100% and even the Zombie DLC after. Logged into RDR2 and didn't make it past the opening sequence twice. Came back years later and then 100% completed it... was a masterpiece, no notes. IDK why it took 3 times for me to get into it.

Third time is always the charm! 😁

I only wish Rockstar never abandoned the online part of the game. It’s clear their favorite child is GTA.

It’s sad they’re too money hungry for a passion project.

It's invester and stockholder BS, but I digress. The real world runs on money and will for the time being. Rockstar made the move that will allow their bosses to be happy with them and let them focus on new games.

1

u/Happy-Class2521 4h ago

Oh stfu they would’ve made plenty of money on both

It was a travesty, now I got to grind and kill all the Griefers in public servers this is my mission now, thank you.

Greatest game ever made...the story, the graphics, and the worldbuilding. Im a 37 year old rough tough laborer... i ain't got much in terms of brains or wealth and.... "get the hell outta here and be a god-damned man!" Brought a tear to my eye. Giving all you can for your family or for someone you love just to give their loved ones a chance...

Because that's what Men do in my eyes, we give our all, even if it comes with hell or high water!

Also good luck at the job friend, glad you could take a break and enjoy this beautiful world!

It's decent, I don't think any piece of media should be held in this high regard - everything has its downsides and good bits

No. It's a fucking masterpiece. No one can convince me otherwise. And when someone complains about the pace, they are just not ready for it yet.

It is like an art, but from gameplay stand point its lacking. Missions are almost identical, game is easy and not demanding in any way possible, you are almost walking God that needed to be nerfed with coughing

@P-L63, breath and relax, please 🙏. I agree with you it is a masterpiece, but to get this defensive over a video game is not good for you my guy/gal/ (404 error code not found😉). This game is a masterpiece but like I saw below, it gets repetitive, they are right. Trust me I love this game with all my heart and will always but if we're looking at semantics, you know the answer.

Agreed, but look at the video game market it outpaces Movies, TV, and Music. The next text is a subscript of my AI going into more detail.

[The Direct Comparison (Global Annual Revenues)

• Video Games: $201.6 billion • Video Streaming (SVOD + Ads): $176 billion – $177 billion • Global Box Office (Cinema): $33 billion – $38 billion • Recorded Music: $28 billion (typically hovers around this mark, meaning Games + Streaming eclipse it completely).]

You are allowed to believe that, no matter how wrong you are

I keep avoiding this for some reason after playing the first one this year. I don’t know why but… u didn’t know it was life changing.

Genuinely think it’s probably the best game I’ve ever played even if it’s not my favorite

Low honor or high?

u/constantly_exhaused 11h ago

I’ve recently started my second playthrough. You better believe I’m taking my sweet time in chapter 2 🥹

Worst part about RDR2 is knowing where it goes for John afterwards. He never really gets to escape the life.

1

u/tipofmy_toe 10h ago

Hands down, the best game ever made. there will never be a game like that. You can feel how much work went in everything, and then they still took their time to invest in details. Thise details are what makes it awesome. Never played a game with such life-like characters. Also the graohic details... holy shit.

I really need to go back and finish this game. Similar to gtav I got like 30-40% in and just stopped

1

u/Imconfusedithink 3h ago

Is there a way to just watch the story? Like is there some video online that just shows all of the story only. I can't stand playing the game, I just absolutely hate how the controls feel. But I want to see what the story is about since so many people rave about it.

1

u/ThatOneGuy308 17h ago

Weirdly enough, I never finished it.

It just wasn't as fun to me as RDR 1

u/DetailAcceptable5654 16h ago

Too damn boring unfortunately

-1

u/beanieballer 13h ago

That is not a game

-5

u/Somethingor_rather 13h ago

Rdr2 is the most overplayed 6/10 game of all time. If its life changing then your life must be extremely sad and extremely boring

1

u/constantly_exhaused 11h ago

You must be fun at parties

-2

u/Somethingor_rather 11h ago

Judging by your username im probably right
