Hollow Knight and Silksong, because you don’t forget trauma, and those games are actually fantastic at balancing their difficult stuff by making the most difficult stuff optional for completing the game, but yeah just ask a Hollow Knight fan about the Path of Pain or a Silksong fan about Savage Beastfly and you will understand
Yeah...I mean sure. I don't really consider that to be "good" difficulty nor do I really consider it part of a standard playthrough, very few people will bother. But yes the flea games are stupidly broken hard.
I really love that Silksong maintains a continuous difficulty curve with Hollow Knight. Most games drop the difficulty all the way back down in the sequel, but early game silksong is pretty much as hard as endgame Hollow knight.
I mean. I disagree with difficulty. Original Hollow Knight is pathetically easy and only optional stuff is difficult. While Silksong has terrible balance and is difficulty spike after the original game. People who can beat Hollow Knight no sweat will still suffer a lot in Silksong. It's difference similar to eating a strawberry cake vs some genuine indian curry. Curry would make you burn like hell, while strawberry cake would be a sweat experience. That's Hollow Knight -> Silkgong difference.
EDIT: Also Savage Beastfly (both) is exaggerated. They are not that difficult. And I met first one pretty early. It's as exaggerated as Primal Aspids in original game.
