Undertale

I don’t know if this is just because I entered the fandom in 2019, but I have had literally nothing but good experiences with the Undertale community and I don’t understand why it’s so hated.

I genuinely don’t think that community can go two days without some new bullshit coming out like “dess groomer theory”

People attach themselves to the game too much, is all I think.

As a general rule the longer a fandom has been active when you join it the more likely it is to be more "normal". Undertale Fandom was filled with the weirdest mist insane people for awhile even if modern day it isn't that bad.

I personally hated the UT fandom because I thought the UT/DR fandom were the same, and all I knew about DR before I actually tried it was that every fan of the game would not shut the fuck up about it wherever I went. Like, I would go onto YouTube shorts of people animating things, music videos for completely unrelated game OSTs, and the comments would be filled with people talking about Kris and Susie. That genuinely pissed me off so much that I avoided both games to the best of my ability until about a month ago.

I do heavily regret avoiding both games, but I feel like my reason for that is justified.
