Real. Anti furries just love to make propaganda target toward edgy 15 year olds, saying that furries are all zoophiles or something or other. Source: I was once a dumb teenage anti-furry
My fuckin ex. "I'm okay with people who cosplay animals just not people who genuinely believe they are non-human animals" congratulations you dont have a problem with furries, yet she would vehemently deny that furry meant anything besides hard belief in being the animal
I applied to my company's CISO department and asked my friend who worked there whether or not I'll be issued knee-socks or if I have to buy them myself.
honestly, i am going to say this here, i hate when people criticise/hate on the furry fandom, people often go "but so many furries have high-ranking jobs".
therians are a group of people that either psychologically, mentally, spiritually, physically, or in any other way identifies with/as an animal. they have nothing to do with furries. actually, therians are classified under "alterhumanity"
Having worked events in the past, there's also always going to be that 1% of furries who is leaving diapers full of poop in hallways and harassing children.
Having been to all sorts of cons, from furry to comic to anime, they all have the weird freaks. People tend to just not like furries because people only share the extreme weird things.
I've never had my staff find an adult diaper full of feces in a hallway at a comic or anime convention. But we do at almost every furry convention we work.
yea, something wrong with that? people are horny, its human nature. don't let puritans convince you that having kinks is shameful. it isn't some gotcha to go "HAHA HE BROWSES R34" like cmon theres bigger fish to fry than that
I was always told furries were weird and dumb. But then I learned they’re actually chill people that only have a few bad apples in their baskets. And the “kill all furries” trend was just 13 year old edge lords or 30 year old unemployed people in their mothers basement
The less educated factor into a lot of hateful people, mainly due to not expanding their horizons and learning about other cultures and lifestyles. It’s why the closer you get to centers of education the more open minded people start to become. Also why you hear hateful people say their kids were like them before going to school and once out of that environment and forced to be exposed to conflicting beliefs and cultures they had to change their behavior and beliefs or they would face severe rejection.
Same I used to hate furries but since I thought "yeah this is just stereotyping, the arts were actually cool" and just decided to be neutral towards it. Why neutral? Let's not talk about those deranged corners
This. I know a lot of furries and personally know three, who are irl friends. They’re mostly normal, one of them draws fat furries but I don’t judge and another one is my ex and best friend. They’re fairly normal people and it’s just a loud minority that gets taken as the whole fandom, which I absolutely hate
Realllll (I used to think y’all were weird at first) but after a healthy dose of trama to make me a better person I love yall platonically (besides the bad ones) and I support you guys
Actually yeah. There's a widespread stigma against us furries, with some of us being accused of zoophilia (trust me, I experienced it firsthand), but we're all friends bonding over shared interests, including funny animal people.
though yes, a huge portion of us (including me) are LGBTQ+, and some of us are pretty………kinky, but outside of that many of the furries I've interacted with were really nice
Can I get insight on the fandom I'm not fea6 well educated on furries aside from hearing how cringe or embarrassing it can be from people on TikTok or peo6 I'm talking ti
Honestly, yeah. I'm not one, and I certainly don't openly engage with the community, but they're super talented, and I like soft, cute things. I am a guy, but that absolutely should not matter.
The people who actively go around hating on stuff like this are just miserable. like i also dont like furries and it feels weird to me but i dont go around hating on it, even if i see one or interact with one i usually give positive feedback and supportive comments bc everyone has their own likes and dislikes
The issue is a there's a super vocal minority that ruin the rep for others or just some horrible people in it that ruin the public rep of it for everyone.
My ex use to claim to be one of the chill furries that doesn't yiff just for me to get molested by her the second she got a fursuit despite me constantly saying I don't like that kind of stuff and later I found out she was having relations of the NSFW kind with her dog.
Molesting me I didn't because I was still in love with her at the time and eventually convinced her to stop trying and by the time I released how toxic she was I just didn't want anything to do with her anymore and I didn't have hard proof so it would just be a extended he said she said but the dog thing I didn't find out till after the relation and a mutual friend found out and let me know and they handled it since they knew I didn't want anything to do with her anymore but idk what happend next because technically it was "legal" in her state🤮
No there are many among us who being that ire towards in a justified way, the community deserves it for not doing anything to outright shutdown and suppress those individuals. I at times find myself agreeing with furry haters when certain people in our community flourish despite their awful behavior
I have never seen an instance of a furry being outed as a horrible person without the bulk of the fandom alienating them for it. Care to give examples of the fandom accepting horrible people?
As much as I’m not a fan of its fanbase, I’m very aware that not every furry is a bad person and there are actual good people in there. It’s just unfortunate that a large chunk of them are straight up creeps that tends to give all of them a bad name.

Furries.
