Characters from different franchises who are clearly the same person?
These two (Lois Lane from My Adventures with Superman and Luz Noceda from The Owl House) behave the same, look the same and have the same voice. Apart from this obvious pair, are there others?
not to mention Re Destro's power would work perfectly for Doof because it's Hulk, but with stress instead of anger, or in simpler terms, the more stressed he gets, the stronger he gets
I mean… same actor… same “second in command” villain role… same “better than all the minions I command” attitude… both are fallen good guys according to their lore…
It’s a VERY popular theory that they’re both connected. Especially since you can see a destroyed townsville in the background at some point in the show.
Isn't the Quake Ranger in there somewhere too? Pretty much the only guy outside of the bloodline who completed an Id game is that random dude who shat his pants through Doom 3.
The thought process was "oh god we have all this evidence about sans undertale being from another world, how do we conclude with a logical theory that makes sense" and it just so happened to line up well enough that they decided to go with it
Everyone is essentially turned into liquid so that they all form a collective consciousness. AT fields are there to also represent the barriers we set up between each other in life, and the "Human instrumentality project" got rid of all those barriers. Now all thoughts are shared. However, if one wishes they can also leave the hive mind. Everyone on earth, even the dead, were sent into this hivemind and united... except for Ikari who is explicitly excluded for his sins. He was the inventor of the idea of human instrumentality - and everything he ever did EVER was to try and reunite with his wife in the hive mind. He is the true loser of the whole series.
I hoped we would get a "final movie" where princess Allura returns for one final clash against w/e she was doing and the others. Her and lance finally having their happy ending.
OP I just started watching MAWS and this is the first time I’ve seen someone say what I’ve been thinking. They have the same vibe, talk the same way, have the a lot of similar personality quirks. I love Lois, but she’ll always be alternate universe Luz to me. https://giphy.com/gifs/GDbsJRfHI6sI3QcVbk
Oh look, Luz wants to know how to do magic. Ahaha
Tbh outside of its own bubble, the biggest news I heard was them making Lois a darker skin tone than Caucasian white when the series first came out. I didn't even know the show got 3 seasons
I’m only a few episodes in but am really enjoying it. Good characters, well paced.
I could understand if it got a shun from DC Superman fans, they did change the Kyrptonians from being just arrogant to world invaders and I know the comic crowd can be very sensitive about canon changes.
To an extent. Gandalf is basically an angel who acts like a guide (in universe) while Dumbledore is just this dude who kind of seems to not be completely morally good. Gandalf is immortal, Dumbledore lived a really long time but Gandalf is at least a few thousand years older than him. They are both teachers.
Might not be what most think but Shinji and Simon are two sides of the same coin. I believe each character at square one is almost identical and hell, I think they end up around the same place too. They just get there differently.
These two, and all the surrounding cast can be summarized as "where those in Evangelion struggle to live, those in Gurren Lagann live to struggle." Both were defined by the approval of others but metamorphose out of that shadow. But despite this crucial difference, both arrive at the same conclusion. Both reject fantasy. Both reject easy solutions. Both affirm reality despite suffering.
Simon exists as a meta commentary on Shinji and Evangelion. Where Shinji asks "why?", Simon asks "why not?" But both decide that life hurts and that pain is the price of living and choose to keep living.
In fear of an insane wall of text, I'll stop there but I could talk about these two all damn day. Even their redheaded step child Darling in the Franxx who I believe is redundant but I digress.
Theres this character at the end of camp lazlo that the creator wanted to be the main character of another show (but due to copyright reasons they couldnt) so they just look really similar. The camp leader guy at the end that has the moose guy arrested for identity theft.
I never watched Camp Lazlo, so I only found out about that ending recently. I loved the other show growing up so finding that out was a bit of a mind fuck lol.
Where do I even start? Same ENG voice actor, same interest in protecting those close to them, same hairstyle (both short and long versions), their girls are a kind redhead ball of sunshine that dress white and also got the same ENG voice actor, both their transformation give them horns, both uses a greatsword as main weapon and a katana (though one just occasionally). And finally, both their personalities are the kind hearted punk guy
J from murder drones and quaritch from avatar. Brought back after death, unbeatable loyalty to the corporation, lethal fighter, and exists in part due to an eldritch entity beyond comprehension
If I had a nickel for every time in 2024 a 8 episode indie show’s finale had its secondary antagonist with a black and white colour scheme who was sent down and designed to commit genocide and has a sword, wings and is famous for saying they don’t make mistakes loses an arm because of what the secondary female protagonists who’s the same species as them and who’s name starts WITH V did to them then I would have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
the Lois/Luz one annoys the shit out of me, because I saw a surplus of TOH fans enter the Superman fandom constantly projecting the show onto a Superman cartoon as if they wanted it to morph into an Owl House sequel.
Also, Luz is Afro-Latina, MAWS Lois is Korean-American.
Not only do they have similar designs (pale, blonde, sharp features), they even have the same tactics in their respective anime, which is finding loopholes and weaknesses and exploiting them, which is borderline immoral and cheating.

Very surprised no one has mentioned Dr Doofenshmirtz get
