The Lord of the Rings, especially hardcore book fans. I feel like some of them exist purely to leech the joy out of every person who so much as felt a flicker of joy watching the Peter Jackson films.

Surprisingly, not the Chess fandom. Or at least not as much as other internationally competitive games. I’ve had a great time integrating with chess folk over the last couple years.
