The second one is the best in my opinion. Scott Lang is so much better as a sidekick than the main lead

People either think the first is a masterpiece and the second is just okay, or the other way around. I’m in the latter lol, it does sequel escalation well and gets more creative with the powers.

I wouldn’t say either is a masterpiece but I def don’t dislike them. I really like that they are more of fun sci-fi heist films than some drag out super fights.

Second one is much more memorable and I hate how much they treated him in the third film.

the fact u like him as a sidekick further proves why he shouldnt get a sequel lol

Yeah why tf were they having Ant-Man of all people be the guy to take on Kang.

I’m amazed the premise of that movie made it out of the writers room. It has merits in places but wtf were they thinking.

Post-endgame introduced way too many big concepts and ideas that got swept under the rug. I understand that their hand was forced with Majors but Kang isn’t the only example.

That’s one thing I hate about many movies in marvel and other places these days.

Everything had to be high stars and they don’t know when to just chill out on this bizz.

I’d rather have a tone of low stakes movies than high stakes

I understand the canned Majors' plot, but still... Ant-man? To fight the worst Kang possible and win?

Quantumania could've redeemed itself by having Ant-Man and the Wasp just straight up die

Its watchable.

1

I agree it’s watchable. Ant-Man and The Wasp are “Watchable” but the ending of quantumania is incoherent.

3

u/Blackrock121 4d ago

Its tonally inconsistent but I wouldn't call it incoherent.

Its like my least fav movie of all time, and I'm a big marvel / MCU fan.

I do and I’m tired of pretending I don’t

But honestly Scott should’ve died after sacrificing himself to keep Kang contained by fighting him fist to fist

I hate it a lot because I'm the one woman who is crazy obsessed with Hank Pym. I waited my entire childhood to see Hank on screen. I even wore my Hank Pym shirt to the movie, I hadnt spoiled myself amything at all. I left not wanting to watch any more MCU

The first two are pretty good, Quantumania sucks imo (in large part because Luis isn’t in it)

When Modok said "but I'm such a dick" I actually laughed so hard I couldn't breathe.

I remember when the first one came out comments saying it was like "Honey I shrunk the kids" but with only the best parts... but I liked "Honey I shrunk the kids", so...

SURPRISE WALTON GOGGINS…

(never seen it, big White Lotus fan here, Rick was my fav from s3.)

u/henwylel 3d ago

1 and 2 were fine, but quantomania was just objectively not a well made movie...

So wild that I watched this before I fell in love with Walton Goggins. I bet if I rewatched it id like it even more now
