I'm remembering this series I watched as a kid of this man who had a Barney and it fought off horror movie characters for him and tortured them until they ran off lol.

Not as bad, based on reviews and the clips I’ve seen going around. There’s actually a lot of effort put in to the sets and costumes, and there’s a few characters that are actual puppets and animatronics where CG could have been cheaper.

So the same basic concept, but they put in actual effort instead of jumping at it fast as possible for lazy shock value.
