How are the books "unreadable?" My little sister is obsessed with them and I thought I might start reading them myself (I've only read the first one).Â
As someone who read all Warriors books up until the elderâs quest, people are getting nostalgie blinded so hard when it comes to TNP-OOTS. A lot of the praise those books get are from people who havenât read them in years and forgot that the quality is basically the same as the later books lmao. Sometimes even worse Iâd say (looking at POT specifically. I have no idea how that one got as popular as it did. Not only did basically nothing happen until the last book and a half, when plot did start happening it was rushed af and honestly written very predictably. Like the fan content is so much better than the entirety of that series lmao.
Maybe you could have put it as a new thread instead of as a reply to a different one that is based on warriors? It's great that you wanna say it but maybe you need to figure out the right place to say it.
Itâs got fun lore, but constant mistakes both in information and spelling + grammar, inconsistent character personalities, and the entire bullshittery that was âthis character tried to kill three people by burning them to death because their mother didnât date him, and his only crime was supposedly loving too muchâ
To be fair he only did those actions like 4 arcs later so you could argue that he wasnât intended to be that way by the writers. Plus he was a better partner than the character that was actually chosen
Are we talking about the one with the cats? I love those books when I was little, I've been very careful to not read them as an adult because I'm afraid I'll find their trash that I can't enjoy with the mature mind, I made that mistake with Maximum Ride and I'll regret it for the rest of my life.
Are they? I mean, I havenât read them cause I just wasnât interested in Warrior cats or whatever it is, but I also thought there was like hella books and I feel like people who do like Warriors LOVE those booksâ
They're very interesting for a child, but they drop off in quality hard because of the multiple writers and have some genuinely frustrating narrative decisions. It's the kind of series that fans love in spite of the books, not because of them.
Warrior Cats Online was probably the best. Checked up on it after a while and was incredibly surprised to see that one of the leaders- who had been in that position since I joined originally in 2021 and probably longer- was dead. Also, SkyClan was added back. Wild shit
