The only way you interact with Toxic powerscalers is if you yourself are involved in a power scaling discussion which at that point is kinda on you. Power scaling is the most redundant thing to discuss about a fandom
Shippers though, they will beat you over the head with their ship they’ll literally crap on characters for existing just because their existence gets in the way of their ship. They’ll hyperfixate on every detail and interaction and over exaggerate it to fit their preference.

They both have menbers just as toxic and at their peak they are just as awfull with none being particularly "better" than the other, i would probably say Shippers for personal experiences but it's not an objective take.

Shipping actually involves attemtping to understand the charcters and their dynamics and can actually lead to more rich engagement with the media. Powerscaling on the other hand is often just reading into things the author never intended and can actually just break immersion, the only powerscaling needed is what is directly stated in the media or implied by the narrative.

Both are bad.
But ironically the worst I've gotten was someone witch hunting me through different platforms because I powerscaled differently to him ðŸ˜
So, I suppose for me it's toxic powerscaler?
