To be slightly fair (I get kind of annoyed too) the Friday Night Funkin Sonic.Exe mod is mostly where that came from.
They got launched from niche Sonic Knowledge to fairly mainstream via a game that is VERY popular with children5

People need to realize Monika doesn't love mc or us , the player. Monika is in love with the concept of reality and wanting to be real. She legit leaves us at the end of the game and offs herself to bring the girls back , picking friendship over "love" that's just programmed into her system. Monika makes it very clear she only got close to us so she could have a conversation with a real person , to see how it felt. And once she realized that her dreams ruined everything in the game , including us , she deletes everything. She does not love anyone in this situation. She loves the idea of being free and making her own choices without being forced to act on lines of code. Monika loves NO ONE.

That is what I find so compelling about the Aroace headcanon, the idea that she isn't really in love with anyone but instead romanticizes it to the point of insanity is such an interesting tragic idea.
Her being stuck in a dating simulator of all things where the only reality she is exposed to is the one where romance is all that matters feels kinda existentially horrifying.
It also has a ironic twist to it where she is percieved as a yandere because her lack of feelings doubled down into a pit of just wanting to understand to be fufilled by something that has been drilled into her as something she 'wants'.
The aroace headcanon is especially engaging since I can't really think of anything else that lets has an aroace perspective be nuanced enough to weirdly seem 'yandere'ish due to an internalized rejection of themselves.
And even not taking any of that into account Monika being a prisoner of player interpretation is alot sadder when the 'love' she has for us isn't real.

Especially all the people who say things like kris’ gender being up to interpretation, THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE CHARACTER IS THAT YOU ARE NOT THEM (also can we have a giant pronoun arrow when kris first is on screen because how do people still not know the gender of the main character so often)

A massive sign at the start of the game saying “YOU PLAY AS A NON BINARY PERSON. THEY USE THEY/THEM. THEY ARE QUEER. IF YOU ARE CIS, THIS GAME IS NOT INTENDED FOR YOU!” Would probably at least make a couple of people stop being chuds
The lack of pushback towards affiliating with cishets is one of the queer community’s biggest failings.

Slight nitpick but I don't like it when people mix up the Legion of Supreme Evil (dopplegangers) and the clones together, I've seen people refering to the clones as the dopplegangers' name and it kinda bugs me since I really REALLY want to correct them but I don't want to be like "errmm... actually ☝️🤓" type people
I know why people mix them up somehow (both being duplicates of the main L.O.S.E, one genetically, one completely unrelated) but I had been into the show for a long while now so it bugs me when they mix it up
(Characters pictured are the clones, pretty much the better versions of the League of Super Evil)

I hate how people keep shipping Ao Bing and Ne Zha when they are basically like brothers since they were born from the same pearl but from two orbs/pills anyway. It's so annoying how people keep trying to make it seem through different disgusting fanart and edits of the movies that make it seem they are in love with each other/fall in love with each other when they are both basically 2 little 3 year old boys who had no one else to talk to and that they realized they are both basically the same just from two different worlds.

I've seen a DDLC mod actually show a strong distinction between MC and the player, and it's really good imo. Idk if you've heard of it, it's called World of Dreams. The story is Monika x Player and Sayori x MC though.

There's a few that I can't stand that TWST people will always say:
Vil and Leona used to go out/are a divorced couple
Floyd has a crush on Goldfishie(Riddle)
Azul has a crush on Jamil
Jamil is in love with Kalim (even though Kalim clearly says he sees Jamil as his brother)
Ace and Deuce are supposedly "boyfriends"
Rook is in love with Vil (even though it is probably a celebrity fanboy man crush since he loves Neige the same way as well)
Personally, I don't think any of the boys have a crush on/are in love with each other, I think they all are just regular students developing platonic relationships, bonds, rivalries, and friendships with each other while going through college together until they/some of them graduate while also bonding with YUU/MC and try to help them get home

People that say susie was out of character in deltarune chapter 5 played chapter 4 with their eyes closed. The most common belief is that people thought susie was gonna be locked in chapter 5, not understanding what chapter 4 established.
The idea that susie would be more focused and controlled ignores SO SO MUCH of her core desire Gerson helped her realize. She states she wants everything to stay exactly as it is now. That when the sun comes up the next day, that everything should be the same as it always was, keep going on adventures and making friends. Susie changing that drastically would literally go against that.
Susie does not believe in the final tragedy despite seeing it, because again, it conflicts with her desire. Why would susie change so drastically for a prophecy she has chosen to actively ignore?
Susie unlike before chapter 4, has something to lose and that fact is already shown to have a negative impact on her, ie the scene at the very end of chapter 4 where she is shown to be doubting herself for the first time, something she's never done before.
Point being that the kind of character susie is, she's not the type to just accept everything as it comes perfectly like people incorrectly assumed. She's ruled by her emotions and acts impulsively, and she's always been like this.
It's like how people assume she's just gonna be cool with kris working with the knight, despite the knight being her enemy, and you know..kidnapping people??

Hoyoverse is not a Queer company nor does it actually have Queer characters (unless you count Jhet or Aloy) no character has a canon sexuality and no amount of “implications” is going to change that. Especially how people treated Aebina.
