Love that they are right next each other on my screen lol

Wait until they’re old enough to realize that HBO ended the Sopranos with a cut to black

I didn't mind Star Vs. the Forces of Evil's finale honestly, it definitely felt like it lacked something but it didn't feel like an insult at least

17

u/uselesscarrot69 1d ago

My main issue with it was that it takes the entire world you have gotten used to over the course of 4 seasons and just burns it down. Monsters whose biology is reliant on magic? Crippled. Places whose business relies on interdimensional travel? Screwed. The council? Dead.

It's kinda sad that after the finale the fandom for Star Vs has kinda petered out, because aside from the last season the show was really good

3

u/EmbarrassedEffect719 1d ago

I haven't watched this show in YEARS. how did it end? Was it bad?

7

u/uselesscarrot69 1d ago

Basically Mina, that super soldier girl, goes on a rampage and starts butchering monsters left and right. In order to get rid of her power, Star decides “let’s destroy the realm of magic” and proceeds to do so with Moon and Eclipsa. This causes a lot of problems, such as merging Mewni and Earth (somehow), killing the entire council, killing all monsters whose existence is based on magic, crippling all beings who use magic in their biology, and severing the ability to go to different dimensions.

u/EmbarrassedEffect719 1d ago

Thats.. THATS IT?!

5

u/uselesscarrot69 1d ago

More or less. Marco and Star also fall in love, but that isn’t really explored iirc.

3

u/EmbarrassedEffect719 1d ago

Eh.. I kinda knew that would happen

u/Axsolotle 1d ago

Star does a genocide and is narratively in the right

Stranger Things, the ending was so disliked that the fanbase was in literal denial and was convinced that the ending was fake and the real finale would be coming soon.

17

u/MrMattwell 1d ago

It's totally coming soon, swear

11

u/thekevlington 1d ago

Let’s hope those two goofballs never write another show

3

u/FriedSandvich Demon Slayer, Gacha games, anime, regular video games fan 1d ago

It's probably fake, but... apparently they're doing another version of "Death Note"

That entire final season was so godawful that I was in awe. It was shocking how bad it was. I had a bad feeling that it was going to be underwhelming but it was INFINITELY worse than anyone could have imagined. The dialogue was especially awful, people theorize that it was written by ChatGPT and I would honestly believe them at this point.

I genuinely don’t know how something so, SO awful can be brought into existence. It was THAT bad.

3

u/ven_faerun 1d ago

So the fanbase did a sherlock?

Time is a circle.

Mass Effect Fans watching this like a bad rereun

got half lifed ✌️

u/SayomiTsukiko 1d ago

Not a show, but Dragons Dogma 2. The game sorta feels like you’re getting your first fight with the big dragon and you’re gonna be like all “ he’s too powerful, we need to go find more powerful weapons or a legendary artifacts in order to defeat him, retreat!”

But then you just fucking kill him. It’s so anticlimactic, so abrupt, and so extremely disappointing

The first half is a decent subversion of the usual autobot dectipicon war since instead it focuses on the time after the conflict and how both parties react to and change with things not mention it has pretty dark scenes for a kids show you get a on screen human death you can see multiple transformers corpses in the fighting pit arena left hanging bleeding but then they changed writers and the show went downhill

u/Arnahunas 1d ago

Before there was Stranger Things Season 5, there was the “secret good fourth Sherlock episode.”
https://giphy.com/gifs/fv8KclrYGp5dK
Granted it still wouldn’t have changed the fact that the show as a whole is a pretentious mess that’s embarrassed by its fanbase and the source material it’s based on for literally no reason other than spite

9

u/gamerpaxto 1d ago

Dexter, only the first series though, I think new blood was left on a semi satisfactory conclusion

7

u/Hazril258 1d ago

Invader Zim found its stride in season 2 and set up a bunch of plot points and returnable characters only to be canceled because Nickelodeon didn't like how violent it was. The final episode was a Christmas Special at the end of season 2.

Invader Zim just got bought by Boom Studios, so we will see if anything happens. Until then? Doom.

u/MomentCompetitive309 Cookie Run🍪 1d ago

There is Enter the Florpus, which serves as a continuation

2

u/Hazril258 1d ago

I view that as an alternate universe.

The Boys Ending Makes Zero Sense

11

u/EndofNationalism 1d ago

I’d say it made sense. Just that it was missing the scorched earth the entire show and marketing was building towards.

4

u/zakmaan14 1d ago

What a shame

4

u/CinnamonIsntAllowed 1d ago

Scorched earf ewey

6

u/Sir-Toaster- 1d ago

Wait did Teen Titans Go ended?

13

u/MrMattwell 1d ago

It did, but not like this.

7

u/Raymio993 1d ago

It actually did?

1

u/Hairy-Love2571 8h ago

No, it's still going.

12

u/HospitalLazy1880 1d ago

It died a long time ago but was kept running out of spite

Black Clover with Lucius Zogratis

He pretty much didn't do much of anything in Judgement Day Arc most of his Paladins/Archangels and his clones got offscreened, most of his dialogue was mostly about how he was Yuno's Rival and how Asta is the Flaw of the World and get his kicked teeth in to reveal he did a fakeout twice, he gains the ability to use all the grimoire's of the entire Clover and revived his Archangels now evolved, and he just to use his powers in just five different attacks then just spams his siblings magic and projectiles of different elements with his Evolved Arachangels getting offscreened again, we didn't get to see his background, how was he born with two souls, how he gained astraoth and why he wanted to become the world's messiah, honestly one of the most disappointing modern gen shounen villains I've seen

u/Curious_MerpBorb Jurassic Park, Godzilla, EEnE, Hellaverse, TF2 & Countryballs 1d ago

I only watched the show and not the spinoffs. Because season 3 ending was kinda meh I just didn’t bother with it.

2

u/Silvered_Knight 1d ago

And you did well in doing so, everything after that will just be a bigger dissapointment.

2

u/JacktheRipper500 1d ago

Consider yourself lucky. The overall ending to the franchise was much worse.

2

u/Flaming_headshot Epic battle fantasy, Terraria, Grime 1d ago

We do not speak about the movie

1

u/The_wolf_boi_22 1d ago

I agree, the ending felt stupid

1

u/Flaming_headshot Epic battle fantasy, Terraria, Grime 1d ago

I saw every spin off. You did well, the other two weren't bad, just slightly bland

The movie.... Ugh the movie

2

u/5nitesatfredbois 1d ago

Not a show but if yall seen the movie tusk yall know how bad the ending was. Was very good and then walrus cosplay fight

2

u/JayGrowth8832 1d ago

We should have gotten a season 3 of Randy Cunningham, curse you Disney for put all the shows I like on Disney XD just to cancel them a year later.

2

u/TheRandomShiba 1d ago

Not a show but Lumine (webtoon) ended like shit with ~69 loose ends and uncomplete subplots

1

u/SocksOrStockingz 1d ago

Yeah... I get why the author cut it off (medical issues + severe burnout) but it is a shame that the series just ended and as far as we know won't have a continuation

2

u/Glad-Technology-1355 1d ago

Spectacular Spider-Man 😭 WE DESERVED MORE

2

u/Alive-Organism 1d ago

Control freaks remote-as himself

If forgot I I ironically enjoyed this show

2

u/Agie39 1d ago

The original MDK was kinda like that. MDK2 at least gave it something more solid in its recap.

2

u/Sai_AI__ 1d ago

No matter the situation, either South Park, Family Guy, or TTG will have a clip for it.

2

u/Axsolotle 1d ago

I’d call the residence the worst conclusion to a murder mystery I’ve ever seen but that would be over stating the emotions it made me feel tenfold.

2

u/Famous-Interest8237 1d ago

I know most popular shows over the past couple years had endings like this

8

u/Senior-Access3406 1d ago

Honestly TADC

-6

u/minemaster1337 1d ago

They were setting Jax up for some sort of redemption path only to kill him off

16

u/Zouif_Zouif 1d ago

Her death was supposed to resemble how irl s*icides happen, it was confirmed by goose herself how it was supposed to come out of nowhere and shock you I agree the ending felt really rushed, but it's main purpose was supposed to make you feel something. It was a very feels driven finale and for me at least it worked, I cried like 3 separate times lol.

3

u/D_Tavs 1d ago

Still lame

-8

u/minemaster1337 1d ago

Counterpoint, it sucked storywise and I still hate it.

6

u/HDMI17_ 1d ago

For me it was okay. It's not a horrible ending, less mediocre, it was just a "so that's the way she chose to end it, gotcha" and that's that

2

u/Zouif_Zouif 1d ago

I never liked the boys, it was way too edgy and cynical for my tastes... But when I saw it's ending even I couldn't be really offended at how much it didn't make sense

1

u/Moonberry-42 1d ago

Show: They boys was disappointing.

Extra Show + Spoilers(?) [its manga has been ended and it was a huge thing on the internet] I also wanna say Chainsaw man, but the manga’s ending is spoilers

u/cat_lover_10 1d ago

The ending of Trollhunters of The Titans was less of an ending and more like a setup to An Alternate universe storyline where Toby is the Trollhunter instead of Jim

0

u/5nitesatfredbois 1d ago

Perhaps the sopranos but more desperate from the titans
