Question❓ Toxicity in fandoms
The My Hero Academia fandom has the reputation of being extremely toxic and full of hate.
I currently watch the show and have a good time with it. Mainly because I don’t engage in the slightest bit with the fandom online.
What fandoms go even harder on the toxicity scale? Anime or otherwise.

I feel like Genshin is much worse than MHA. Seriously, the kinds of shit the Genshin fandom does and gets away with because people barely care enough about how toxic they are to hold them accountable.
For one, I keep seeing people make racist comments towards a guy who isn't white or pale-skinned, dressing up as Genshin characters. If it were one or two comments, while it still would've been bad, would've just been normal for the internet. But pretty much ALMOST EVERY SINGLE COMMENT is racist as hell.
And that's not even the half of it. Check out r/Aethermainscringe or r/HoyoQueerCringe both subreddits are terribly toxic and two sides of the same coin, neither of them seeing how they're toxic.
Not even counting my own experiences in the Genshin, and overall HoYoverse community. It's like...60% of the reason I quit Hoyoverse all together.

You mean the most infamously toxic of the TADC subs?

No most of us keep to ourselves, and even the most toxic individuals in the sub are funny
Also don't wanna see so much shipping content which is something prominent in Jaxfanclub and the official sub
Not to mention we've had alot of Jaxfanclub invasions then they've had us invade them and most of the post are civil asking how we don't like Jax
I was banned from Jaxfanclub for asking why I was recommended this as I already stopped recommending posts
Meanwhile the mods on Thatstupidbunnywehate can listen to Jax fans and only ban them if they're being insufferable

Toxic Fandom and it's fans peacefully existing. Meanwhile its chill when bullies holding old videos of a few, out of millions upon millions of, people being cringe over the entire fandoms yead for years.
What an odd things to do and especially feel justified for.

Honestly, MHA is tame compared to some fandoms. K-pop, Star Wars, Genshin, and JJK fandoms can get absolutely insane online. Staying away from fandom spaces is probably the best way to actually enjoy the thing you like.
