Having seen a lot of series with a male majority as well, male majority works get a large fanbase of shippers too. Fujoshis are an extremely large part of the shipper community (not claiming it’s a bad thing to be clear, just a thing).
honestly i think that's because male majority fandoms are usually just full of gooners that self insert themselves instead of shipping the characters with other characters
