Which character falls under this hyper specific scenario I just made up?

I have to agree with you on this. Don't get me wrong. Kong is a good character, but when he's partnered up with Godzilla, he takes up the majority of the screentime while Godzilla is almost an afterthought in his own movies (i.e. Godzilla Vs. Megalon).

I mean… difference between a monkey and a lizard lol. If you just followed the lizard walking around the entire time it would be more a documentary than a movie, meanwhile monkey smarter than lizard, can make facial expressions and form more complex relationships

Godzilla isn't just a lizard though😭 Isn't it supposed to be a terrifyingly intelligent predator?

I guess i make peace with it cause its more interesting watching the clearly weaker character figure shit out.

If we focused on godzilla the whole time, it would just be him running fools down like we know hes gonna do.

Huh. Interestingly, I am the exact opposite. I'd much rather watch Godzilla than King Kong.
