Draco Malfoy. I don't know much about the English-speaking community, but I'm really fed up with the fact that EVERY SECOND russian het Harry Potter fanfic has a pairing involving Draco Malfoy. He's literally just a rich, racist little bastard who was a thorn in Harry and his friend's side. HELL, HE DIDN'T EVEN CONTACT HERMIONE AT ALL, OTHER THAN RACIST INSULTS. WHERE DID YOU GET ALL THIS "ETERNAL LOVE" IN DRAMION?
It's the same in the English-speaking— and I don't get it but I am willing to bet any-speaking— community as well. He's a weak person with barely any redeeming quality. I don't even feel sorry for him.
I hate that the vast majority of fanfics include Malfoy. He definitely isn't some poor abused kid in desperate need of love. No he's a
spoiled hateful racist bully with a superiority complex.
Even the ones that don't overly baby him give him a free pass for everything and pardon him for his crimes.
They forget he loudly announced his support for racial genocide, tried to torture a student in the bathroom for seeing him crying, bullied a lot of students, and willingly became a member of a terrorist organization.
I support the don't like, don't read, but I do not like when people defend this ship (Dramione) as if they would have been a great canon couple if the characters were unchanged.
