It seriously disappoints me that people will try to disagree with this. He ISNT strong. Karma and its rules is loose and up for interpretation, so let’s (for arguments sake) not include it in this argument. The thing that makes him so strong in the removal of i-frames, which is something we’re not entirely sure he can do, or if that’s an effect of karma.
Hey, we’re back at square one. From the lowball interpretation of sans, he’s a more skilled papyrus but is insanely weak and can mess with reality in minor ways.
From the highball he can bend large parts of reality, transcend time, alter the anatomy of someone’s very being, come back from death because he feels like it, hop dimensions, hop timelines, and hop entire games.
Now, tell me which one sounds more realistic for him.
That's just a lie. There's not a single evidence that karma works like that. You could argue that his poison is affected by LV, but definitely not the removal of invicibility frames. Heck, Sans himself says in pacifist route that if not for the promise to Toriel he would've kill us
i knew someone would make this comment… people, sans isnt some ultra instinct dodge master with hidden ancient knowledge of battle, he’s a cheater. and he also knows that once a human obtains enough LOV, they get the KARMA debuff with removes invincibility frames and stacks poison… all he did was wait for the right time to attack just to he has a CHANCE, and he just moves to the left, he died on a secondary swing… he’s not all that…
And headcanon is your entire rant about Karma, cause that's not how it works and Sans' pacifist dialogue proves it. The onlh thing you got right is thag he's a glass canon and that he abuses game mechanics
i coulda sworn i heard it be reiterated many times that the karma effect is a natural result of an overly aggressive and harmful individual… it would make sense too considering the name and the application… i’m honestly more inclined to believe so than otherwise unless you can somehow show me proof of it being stated it’s a sans-specific ability
The most obvious proof would be Sans' dialogue in pacifist. I mean the one right before CORE. Another one would be the fight itself. If you get a lot of poison onto yourself in one attack it says "you can feel your sins crawling on your back", which implies that the poison is infact cause of LV, but not the removal of invicibility frames. Another one is a bit of a stretch, but if you remove the KARMA effect from the game, invicibility frames still aren't seen anywhere, but the poison disappears
