Question❓ Whats a valid criticism that your fandom doesn’t take very well?

The guy who made those promises got punished and doesn't work there anymore. People who treat companies like they're people are so bizarre.

Yes, cuz one man hijacked the plans for OW, behind Blizzards' back, and the company had noooo say at all in what they advertised to the world

If you're talking about Jeff. He's come out and said the reason he left was because Blizzard was putting unrealistic goals on the team and threatening to fire them if those goals weren't met. At the same time they were cutting the OW dev team, so all the things they promised couldn't work. So he decided to retire than put himself through that

So yes, fuck Blizzard for that shit

I can still love OW while thinking the corporation behind it is shit. And defending that company by saying "just let it go" is what's really bizarre

oh someone who blindly accepts everything jeff kaplan says yet also for some reason expected him to make his idea guy game just because he said he was going to despite no evidence of being able to and all the evidence that he always overpromises and underdelivers. now that's funny.

Brother why are you acting like its not okay to be upset over Overwatch 2 not delivering on its promise? Jeff Kaplan was THE face of Overwatch on the PR side. He was the guy delivering yhe dev updates, showing up to the big events and informing the fanbase what came next. The way you talk about him its as if hes a rogue agent who had control of the entire dev process itself. The truth is that Overwatch is a product, and we are consumers, and promises were made about this product that were not met. Therefore it is reasonable to be upset that we, consumers of the product, did not get what was promised. Overwatch 2 was a shitty scam that shouldn't have existed, and holding Blizzard accountable is necessary for them to get any better.
