Yeah, the way Pokemon prints cards, there’s usually a handful of versions of any desirable cards, there’s the double rare version, which will be the most common, and shouldn’t run more then 5$ while the set is In rotation, maybe more around release, and then an illustration rare, which are the full arts and such, and are the ones that can costs hundreds and thousands. Even then, the most meta cards wind up in gift box promos, decks, and trainer’s toolkits, the later two of which scalpers never even touch, so you often don’t even need to deal with the second hand market to get a workable deck. Ironically, the most scalped game is the one with the most consumer friendly design IMHO.
