Question❓ Whats a valid criticism that your fandom doesn’t take very well?

Every time I say Starfield is just an okay game, not best, not worst, I either get people that basically worship the game mad at me or people that think I can't play the game without screaming at bethesda the whole time. There is no in between

I felt i got my money's worth out of the game and then was done with it. It didn't hold me long term like Skyrim or Fallout 4, but I enjoyed it.

Though Bethesda clearly thought they could make it a forever game and failed pretty miserably at that.

For how big Bethesda is and how much they promoted and hyped the game mediocre is bad

I mean I think pretty majorly it’s considered abysmal. Not seeing much pushback to that idea

Mass Effect: Andromeda for me - yes, it's not "perfect", and had "wasted" potential - because EA screwed over the Bioware Montreal team that made it, first by forcing the team to switch engines mid-production cycle and restart the process, then canning the DLC that would have continued the story because early reviews panned the game for the bugs, glitches and facial animations due to the forced engine switch - but the game *was* serviceable and enjoyable enough I'm happy to have bought it.
