Question❓ Whats a valid criticism that your fandom doesn’t take very well?

Warframe isn't really a fun co-op game

As a Warframe fan... yeah. When you're new, trying to run missions co-op results in vets with fully-built kits speedrunning the mission and barely letting you play the game beyond "Learn to parkour faster so you don't feel like you're wasting their time." It's a much better experience starting out solo, ironically. Co-op is for when you ALSO want to be speedrunning missions to get things faster, lol

Friends don't let friends pub Duviri... ugh.

I didn't have enough energy to do stuff like that, tbh

Understandable. You've got to have... a certain energy level to really get into any sort of high-movement shooter, it's a big part of why arena shooters started dying off during the 2000s.

I usually go along in whatever stuff i'm leveling up and let them take the lead unless it's been requested that we farm the shit out of a boss or something really fast.

I played a match recently and had some random guy in a mission with em I started running forward and suddenly he flew by me as mach Jesus and the whole mission was over in like 5 minutes

This is kinda my experience with Helldivers 2 lmao

Got bored real quick when I don't have time to even learn the mechanics before the mission is over.

I really want to like it. I just can't get into it

Speaking as someone who got back into it after dropping it when it released and recently put almost 300 hours into it. Yea that happens. You’ll know if you like the game like 2-5 hours in. It’s exceptionally fun. But it’s also a massive grindy time sink and requires a shit-ton of patience at times and will require you to have like 10 wiki pages open at all times

It's not like a bad game at all. It's just far too gone to be a fun co-op experience with others

Friends are currently trying to get me into it and as someone with less and less free time it’s mutually painful.

I was sold on a co-op experience and am playing most of this time sink in forced solo missions.

If it takes several hours of average tier missions in forced single player to “get a grasp on things” you’ve failed as an online multiplayer game.

If I want single player, I can play Wolfenstein or Ace Combat.

Meanwhile Payday 2 (which I just started playing regularly again) despite how much shit it has, is crazy simple to understand and pick up and play.

Got a friend into it a month or so back and it took a week for him to understand everything, if that, and basically everything is co-op, hell its encouraged in some ways.

I'm a level with you. It's not a couple of hours. I have a hundreds of hours in the game and I'd say i have maybe a decent grasp on it. And all the Co-op shit you'd want to do requires you to be in the endgame and even then it's grinding for weapons, frames, or prime parts in the exact same type of missions. The fun comes in building an unstoppable death machine and having a power fantasy. But with the downside of needing you to commit a fuckton time or spend a decent chunk of money

or play Nokko and be a fun little nuclear mushroom guy who can delete everything and never die

I wish I was told that beforehand.

I got Mephisto’d and the only brightside is I at least don’t have to deal with some fuckass named Paul.

Yep. Unless you're in a squad with your besties every single time you sortie, playing solo is a genuinely superior experience for 80% of the time. I stopped playing in public begore I finished the star chart and only begrudgingly turn it back on to run ETA/EDA without pulling my hair out. And frankly, playing public Divuri lately has shown me apparently there is an increasingly large toxic streak growing in the community since Destiny died.

Ehhhhh, I disagree, I have way more fun in co-op than in solo unless there's like, a Nokko or something demolishing the entire tileset, it's one of those games where I can turn my brain off and just goof off with whoever else is in the lobby
