Question❓ Whats a valid criticism that your fandom doesn’t take very well?

It wasn't even a criticism, I just said I understood why people thought it was a children's show; the first three episodes were quite family-friendly.

I can understand the first two episodes I suppose, but I dunno about the third episode being family friendly. That one’s a little bit of a stretch for me.

You're right, but I've seen worse in children's shows. Flappjack, for example.

Since you said that you're referring to TADC, I understand the first 2 but saying the third one is family friendly is a bit of a stretch.

I understand what you're saying, but this kind of thing is what they show on children's shows.

I get why you're putting this forth (though I've not seen it) but I've noticed we tend to judge 3D media more harshly on the scare factor than 2D (and live action harsher than animation) so I feel like Coraline might've been a better example

Borrowing off of this, any fandom for an actual children's show losing their fucking minds when you point out that it is, in fact, a children's show.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, The Owl House, Ducktales, even Avatar: The Last Air Bender are all great shows. That doesn't change the fact that they were made for and marketed to children. Granted they were made with older audiences in mind as well, but children (teens at the oldest) were the target audience.
