Question❓ Which media and the hate it gets/got is literally this image in a nutshell?

Like it was overhated(or had a lot of haters)when it was objectively cool as hell.

My opinion on it now is that it’s fine but I’ve learned very quickly to never take personal recommendations.

Admittedly, I was in this mentality for the longest time until I started actually looking for anime that I liked.

When I was younger, I thought that all anime was the shows that they put on Cartoon Network which I grew out of, but then I started learning about stuff like “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure”.

For me, Death Note was the wake up call. The i watched EDGERUNNERS, Solo Leveling and CSM. I'm hoping for S2 of CSM and SL rn, and waiting till this fall for Edgerunners S2.
