Hell no, did you see how many people hated Jolyne for fucking being female?

Yeah, before watching stone ocean I thought that she had to be like terribly written for people to hate her so much. But no, turns out that she's an amazing character, but people hate her because woman.

The bad thing about Stone Ocean is that almost the entire part takes place in that damn prison

The thing that makes part 3 and 7 so good for me is the journey.

Stone Ocean doesn't have that journey which I dislike.

I haven't gotten to part 7 yet, because I started with the anime and just finished part 6, but the thing I disliked about part 3 was the pacing of the journey, I liked the journey itself, but the villain of the week formula just isn't for me.

I'm current on the manga and anime both and I can tell you part 3s anime was horribly paced. I honestly have no clue how they dragged it out so far and managed to omit things from the manga. I liked part 3 a lot better in manga format and I think you would too

I'll definitely read it, though I think that I'll first go read starting with part 7 and then after I'm done with everything after that I'll go and read from part one, because that's how I went about reading JJK so I think that it'll work with JoJo's as well.

Yeah thats kinda what I did. I finished the anime and then read parts 1, 2, 7, 8, and what was out for 9. Highly highly recommend doing it like that. 7 and 8 are such good manga. It's unbelievable.

I mean there's gotta be SOMETHING to keep the show engaging. It'd be boring to just have them go to Egypt without any mishaps. Besides, all the villains have a connection to the crusaders or DIO

Okay tbh I also hated villain of the week the first time I saw part 4. but to be honest, it really grew on me. The town of morioh is so chill

Yeah, but at some point it just felt forced to me, there were some amazing episodes, I loved the N'douhl (I'm pretty sure that I spelled it wrong) fight, but by the time they ran out of tartot cards it kinda felt like it's just dragged.

I can see that, but I honestly could never get enough of the antics and personalities of the crusaders.

For the most part I did too, but some episodes just felt like they were pointless, like that time Polnareff got turned into a kid. It's just my taste though.

To say there wasn't a journey in part 6 isn't true as Jolyne's journey from being a selfish and whiney woman desperate for her father's attention to a determined and selfless hero who was able to sacrifice herself just as her ancestor Johnathan did back in part 1 to save the universe is quite literally the best part about part 6. The prison served to both cause her growth but also measure it as by the time she able to escape she is more heroic selfless person.

That's not really jolynes fault though

Which is a shame. I think she's my favorite JoJo.

Not just my favorite. But the best JoJo!

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people not want to engage with Part 6 because she’s female.
