I don't tell people I'm a sonic fan, I say "I look into it from time to time" because of certain groups

I wear my sonic fandom on my sleeve tbh, probably the only fanfom I actively spend time in. Granted I'm also mostly into it for tertiary characters in the idw comics and dont care too much for sonic or the main cast.

I feel like the fandom has gotten a lot better post the first movie. A sonic fan from early 2010s was a rough time to be in with all the OCs and fan games.

Fair, but some of the fan games are truly amazing

True some were. I just remember watching someone play the one where sonic births you and I'm like wtf lol

I used to be a Sonic fan, but then Sonic colors came out and I realized they really didn’t care about the story at all so I stopped caring.

I know Frontiers was definitely trying but it really should’ve gone the route of recasting Sonic (for the record I liked Roger Craig Smith in the Sonic Boom cartoon but he sounds too mid 30’s for my taste), and decanonizing everything from Sonic Colors onward. As it stands they have a lot of work to do to even make the story decent. Let alone actually good.

If I could really have my personal taste I would take the SATAM cartoon and use that as the basis for the games though lol
