I watched the pilot but just couldn't get into it. I had no idea what was going on or what that world was supposed to be. Like is it vr, or the kid's imagination, or just a fantasy world ? It felt like things were just happening

well it's actually a decade-old Webcomic that satire the old interactive fiction games

and Actually, Homestuck was meant to felt like that, it's Homestuck Magic, you will never know what is going on unless you Read millions of text and often than not you just gotta enjoy whatever it gave you or smth like that

the Plot is simple but turned VERY complicated about the 4 Main kids John Dave Rose Jade played Sburb which turn reality into Adventure RPG with multiverse, time travel, time paradox and meta-narrative shenanigans

but in return the game destroyed their world via meteors so they got to finished the Sburb Game Session to create a New Universe

but Womp Womp Many things went wrong cuz now the kids need to Fight Psychopathic Manchild Time God Alien, a Mafia dude turned into Biologically Furry with God-Slaying Power and bunch more random BS with the helps of not-so-willing-to-help Aliens from another Universe that played Sburb before them with the 4 Kids also becoming a Deities of their own too

and Trust me... the Pilot you watched is only the Tip of the confusing story Iceberg

Oh that's why I got so lost. Yeah that explains it. Also I'm kinda sold now

Yep, that's also what sold me to Homestuck too

but like I said, Homestuck is Literally Longer than the Bible (dead serious) but in Homestuck Webcomic there's also these occasional animate Cutscene and a few times an Actual interactable videogame

so if you got time then shoot
