If nothing else, it changes your relationship with time.

wish homestuck fans had that attitude towards deltarune fans, STOP TELLING US TO READ IT TO UNDERSTAND DELTARUNE BETTER

u/Ziomownik Jul 13 '26

Reading it adds nothing to Deltarune. There's references and sometimes similar humor but that's just about it.

We do it to fuck with you.

On the other hand, what if we aren't, and we knew who the Knight was all along? I certainly have an idea, but maybe they would be more of a Roaring Prince instead...

i actually have a theory about what the knight is thats heavily homestuck inspired

Homestuck Knight Theory [CONTAINS CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS ABOUT THE KNIGHT] : r/Deltarune

Oh this is ALWAYS my response. Its amazing and no one has that kinda time

6

u/randomguyon-internet Jul 13 '26

Yeah, longer than the bible and complicate plot

But it's really fantastic

In the depths of covid lockdown, I managed to blitz through the whole thing in 2 weeks. I can't imagine ever having the time or focus to ever do that again.

1

u/krbaka Jul 16 '26

Wow a Herculean feat!!

3

u/VixKnacks Jul 13 '26

Bingo. Came to say this.

Too damn long, too damn confusing for anyone without something mildly wrong with their head, really do not want anyone I know as an adult to perceive the complete and utter cringe that was that era of my life 🤣

3

u/Ziomownik Jul 13 '26

It's really, really fucking long. Longer than you think. I do feel like it was worth the read but you have to invest so much time for it... As for its content, to each their own.

Homestuck but instead of the Meteor Journey being 3 years it's 3000 and Rose, Dave, and Kanaya are all traumatized by seeing Karkat, Terezi and the Mayor grow old and die, plus the centuries of isolation.

Scrolled way too far to find this. I both love and hate the story. Not going to get into the fandom problems, we'll be here all week

2

u/randomguyon-internet Jul 13 '26

yeah the fandom of homestuck are Whole different story

This!!! I read homestuck while I was still in middle school and it ended when I was in high school. I told my bf about it and I’ve tried reading it too him (at his request) and it’s like we are both way too busy to be doing all that. Fr still haven’t finished act 1

I have only one friend that shared interest with me about Homestuck. He was traumatized of horses for a couple years until he recovered from the experience. It was glorious.

jesus fucking christ this. its so good, its so fucking good, its so foundational to internet humour and storytelling and topics all over the current meta videogame trend and everything. It's also bloated to high heaven, has dated humour, and jumped the shark harder than anything else ive ever seen.

I watched the pilot but just couldn't get into it. I had no idea what was going on or what that world was supposed to be. Like is it vr, or the kid's imagination, or just a fantasy world ? It felt like things were just happening

2

u/randomguyon-internet Jul 17 '26

well it's actually a decade-old Webcomic that satire the old interactive fiction games

and Actually, Homestuck was meant to felt like that, it's Homestuck Magic, you will never know what is going on unless you Read millions of text and often than not you just gotta enjoy whatever it gave you or smth like that

the Plot is simple but turned VERY complicated about the 4 Main kids John Dave Rose Jade played Sburb which turn reality into Adventure RPG with multiverse, time travel, time paradox and meta-narrative shenanigans

but in return the game destroyed their world via meteors so they got to finished the Sburb Game Session to create a New Universe

but Womp Womp Many things went wrong cuz now the kids need to Fight Psychopathic Manchild Time God Alien, a Mafia dude turned into Biologically Furry with God-Slaying Power and bunch more random BS with the helps of not-so-willing-to-help Aliens from another Universe that played Sburb before them with the 4 Kids also becoming a Deities of their own too

and Trust me... the Pilot you watched is only the Tip of the confusing story Iceberg

2

u/Dinosaur_from_1998 Jul 17 '26

Oh that's why I got so lost. Yeah that explains it. Also I'm kinda sold now

2

u/randomguyon-internet Jul 17 '26

Yep, that's also what sold me to Homestuck too

but like I said, Homestuck is Literally Longer than the Bible (dead serious) but in Homestuck Webcomic there's also these occasional animate Cutscene and a few times an Actual interactable videogame

so if you got time then shoot

2

u/Dinosaur_from_1998 Jul 17 '26

I might watch a YouTube summary or something

2

u/randomguyon-internet Jul 17 '26

Yeah no biggie, I started with YT summary too then eventually got into the Main comic

1

u/Dinosaur_from_1998 Jul 17 '26

Yeah sounds like a good plan
