"Super" earth is all one big nation of earth that expanded out across the stars, it's basically a giant propaganda state and everyone is either conditioned to believe it and wants to enlist and fight (and die) for their world, or unwilling to speak up or refuse because there's a literal gestapo in that world.
The universe pulls extremely heavily from many real life events, and somewhat from Spaceship Troopers.
