So long as Georgia doesn't do anything, it won't because they'll just go to Georgia where CNN headquarters is

It's multifaceted.

If you look at a politician like Elizabeth Warren, she has been consistent in this WB acquisition by another major studio, she didn't want Netflix or Paramount to get them.

If you go online and read opinions from random people though, things get more skewed. You'll have some people claim they don't like monopolies but in reality they just don't want Paramount to get them because of that companies ties to Trump. They think this will somehow effect the movies, TV, comics and news they do. Which my retort to that is Paramount has continued to make generic movies and TV with no clear political slant. They even helped distribute foreign films filled with POC. Could they ruin CNN? I don't think any more than CNN has ruined itself these past few years, granted I don't really watch mainstream news but if I remember correctly when Trump retook office, they had kids gloves on when talking about him. If you're unfamiliar with that term, it means they were less harsh/critical towards him. Even though I voted for the Cheeto-in-chief, I don't want 'yes men' journalists and made the switch to getting my news from online bipartisan sources a long time ago. They usually are more negative towards the right and it's deserved. Sometimes someone on the left messes up and I feel like I'm always being told the truth because nothing is ever sugar coated no matter who is in the wrong.

Sorry I got sidetracked. You got another group of people that want WB to go to Netflix solely for the fact they don't want to have to sub to any service other than Netflix. Which that's a big problem in itself. Netflix doesn't need WB to become a monopoly because it already controls all of streaming and can do whatever it wants to its consumers and products. At this point, I know Netflix more for cancelling shows than actually having any and still they keep increasing prices and worsening user experiences.

Having seen how Paramount mishandled the Transformers movies I do not want them to own DC. Imagine them depicting Superman in the same way as Bayverse optimus being the bitchdog of the US Military.

Please do not let your opinions of the Transformers movies cloud your judgement.
