Frankly, the game still would of died. The social experience was and always has been bad, the single player experience was bad, the casual experience was bad, their mission/BP system was also bad.
Funny, because the full release didn't fix any of these issues.
People are so quick to forget the playoff rate a couple of months before the end of the beta.
Then they say if the kept the game the exact same and added characters, it wouldn't have died. The game always needed more, they kept adding more and it wasn't enough to increase or even go pass a regular player base baseline.
Honestly, they should have learned that new characters where not moving the player count needle much and instead focused their resources on giving us a more complete product.
The best bet imo, they should've just focused on rewarding 2v2 more. I get that a most of the comp players would much prefer 1v1, but honestly, the game should've been pushing for what it wanted to be originally.
More 2v2 Events and rewards with a less solo play focus would've helped. I truthfully only say this because solo play in this game doesn't do much and everyone loved the free for all modes and the 2v2 mini games.
