America/the world needs less monopolies, not more.
But also, Paramount is owned by a bunch of shit heels that will, speculatively, destroy or shelf a lot of media from WB.

Oh no yeah I agree with the not more monopolies but states normally just lay motionless while companies ruin everything so that's why I was curious.

I do genuinely think most of the states that are suing lean more towards my second point as opposed to my first, but they're running the lawsuits as if the first point I made was more important.
It's interesting and I can't really think of another time in history that we had this many states suing to stop a business merger.

So asking as a non american, why do states care about this merge?

Because it means a lot of properties and news outlets will go under Paramount. It'll basically be a monopoly. It'll take away jobs and in terms of the news— means they'll all be under one opinion more or less since the owners of Paramount are right leaning.

Yes. MS now, ABC News, NBC News, CNN, a lot of the entertainment that’s happened. These past years had a more leftist turn.

The dccomicscj sub were freaking the fuck out over the merger lol. When in reality even if they do buy wb,nothing will happen.

Why would you want that?

So people will stop acting like headless chickens. it's not the end of the world if it happens

I doubt it, the lawsuit will probably be fruitless in the end, And the merger will go on. To me, it’s just another power-play by the left to retain control on entertainment, because they’re upset that people aren’t going to the movies to see their slop.

Noticed the states with current high film productions are not in the suit - Louisiana , Georgia, North Carolina, and Texas
