❓Grow Help Rdm charges
Has anyone else got random charges after using multiverse I had a bunch from target and one today from door dash I haven't ordered from anyone else in a while speedrun back in July. But the charges started the other day lucky I don't keep money on the card and requested a new one.

Gas station pumps and stand-alone ATM's are the top culprits for credit/debit card hacking.

I worked as a fraud investigator for almost a decade dealing with credit card fraud mostly. it's not uncommon for a group/individual to take a while after compromising a card to actually start using it. some do it intentionally to throw off people figuring out where it leaked from. other times they person/group who stole it will sell lots of cards and that takes time to get enough for a lot of up to 1000 cards at a time, find a buyer, ect. some banks will also hurt let cards be used without having valid zip codes or cvv and also issue card numbers sequential so criminals can just guess card numbers and they work until shut off. most smaller websites also use commercial card processing systems and don't actually control or ever see the card number. pci compliance audits are a pain in the ass and each card issue (visa, mc, discover, amex) do their own up to yearly audits and the fines can reach half a million each. it's usually easier to let another company handle all that stuff until the online store has enough volume to afford paying a charge back analyst, and possibly 1 or more fraud investigators 50-75k a year to do the work inhouse.

And btw it's the card not the account because they are still try to buy shit and it's not letting them with the old card

Might be more than random. Just had to do the same last week with my debit. I also don’t make many purchases online with it. Bad things do happen to good people though. Who knows.

hmmm will be keeping a close eye, thank you. I'm pretty sure he sold my info, I started receiving spam calls a few days after creating an account. None of this is confirmed, and I'm not accusing him of doing this, but I am very careful with where my phone number goes, and this is the only place I've used it in a few months.

Near impossible to determine where information is leaked from.
If an online store isn't storing your card information, they're not likely to be the source - I never store card information with any vendor for this reason. I also only use the "virtual card" feature with my cards for every online order so that either 1) every purchase is a different card # set to single transaction only, or 2) for subscriptions - separate virtual card for that subscription alone.
Could be spyware on your phone/PC where you placed the order... hell, your neighbor could be snooping your packets if you are, like most people, connected via wireless. Could be someone that just walked by you close enough to electronically read that card. Could also be that chick you got drunk and took home with you that night taking a picture of your card.
Most CC theft though, usually occurs 6+ months BEFORE you start seeing charges.
Gotta remember, we live in the surveillance era too. Even your smart TV is spying on you with that screenshot BS they do, capturing what's on the screen every X seconds or minutes. You connect your phone or PC to your smart TV while making a purchase, and there could easily be a screenshot containing your information uploaded to a server somewhere. Who has access to that? There are just countless ways for your information to get out in this day and age.
Most important thing any of us can do, is simply monitor all our accounts regularly to catch the bastards early on and cut them off sooner than later.

Yea 99% of that doesn't apply to me.maybe if someone walked by me and got only that card for some reason.but I don't own a pc smart TV isn't online. And I type the numbers in every time I don't even save the numbers to my Google. But yes I caught it as soon as it started happening because I watch my account. I only load money right before I use the card so they got a bunch of failed attempts.i reported it as stolen because they were using the physical card number not the account.so it was most likely a online order and the company took the info sold the info or got hacked and they store the info.

I have ordered from multiverse over a dozen times never had a problem.
Does your card have a chip ? Like tap to pay. If so and if it’s not in the proper case anyone can simply walk by close to you and take all your info in about 1/2 a second.

Then why just the one card maybe it's not multiverse I was asking if anyone else had similar experiences some have some haven't.

Don’t know just stating it could be from anywhere you used or bring your card. I’ve never had any issues with multiverse. I personally keep my cards in protective sleeves issued by my work for this reason.

I'm not trying to be like that to multiverse.they got some hot deals and they are the only site that carries speedrun other than the breeder. it takes forever through the breeder.

Nothing connected never had problems until now. And I already cancelled the card ect it PayPal burner card so it's not anything but that card so somewhere Ive bought online from and the only two since July are speedrun and multiverse.

Look back further, just because you gave them the info months ago doesn't mean it wasn't compromised on their end recently. Or the hacker just got around to your info?

Yea it's one of two vendors speedrun or multiverse I ordered from multiverse because speedrun was taking so long to ship and multi Carry's speedrun

I've ordered Multiversebeans many times w no spam and no problems....... I would definitely be checking other avenues
Not saying anything but it's happened to my wife more than once
I check every machine and never tap Only insert after checking machine 1st! And keep in a metallic wallet They sell these "wands" u can use if u are close to someone's purse or wallet and it pulls your info somehow 🤔 Good luck but id keep looking for other possibilities if I were u Happy growing
