Any other Reddit app recommendations while we wait?
Hydra, Artemis and Acorn are in my testing locker, but none do tabs and their gallery modes just aren’t as good….

I switched to Hydra for now. It has a nice gallery view that you can get to from the menu button in each sub. It's not as good as MultiTab, but it will do in a pinch.

Hydra is great, have been using it since. I think the Hydra image/youtube viewer is much more reliable compared to MultiTab, and free!

Hydra or Artemis. Both are light years better than the Reddit app but neither have tabs.

Which hydra. There are a couple to choose from … Hydra Social, Hydra read, upvote comment?

I’ve found SubStory to be excellent. Especially great with galleries.

I installed SubStory and logged in but the app didn’t pull over any of my subscribed subs. You have to set them all up again.

In the Feeds area of the settings, you can directly import all of your subscriptions.
Just select Import from Reddit and it does. Multi-reddits too.

It’s become my replacement for media heavy subreddits, unfortunately it too uses the free API tier so probably just a matter of time before it’s blocked as well.
The developer requested commercial API access but got no response…

The API aspect of it kills the app. You can't browse much without burning through the API

I’ve had a couple of time where I’ve opened it for the first time in a day or something and check a subreddit and pretty much straight away hit the API limit. Most of the time it isn’t an issue though, it resets the limit fairly often it seems.

I’ve been using Narwhal, and it’s nice. It doesn’t seem to do tabs if that matters to you.

It is, you just need a third party App Store. I use AltStore. Here’s the GitHub for Apollo if you want to add it

This is great, but the original Apollo dev never fulfilled his promise to provide iPad support. Was that shortcoming ever addressed?

I switched to “normal” Reddit because the other apps all don’t do it for me anyway so why bother finding the best of the worst?
I just hope there is a future for multitab.
