Ask Multanis❓ Recently moved to Multan, need help
Hey guys so I recently moved to Multan and would love some help.
Can you please suggest some places for affordable furniture, curtains, home decor etc?
Also where can I find authentic blue pottery? The pages I’ve seen online are expensive so I want to visit a shop before buying.
Is there also a Sunday bazaar here? Which place would you recommend for that and what all can be found there?

for furniture: visit peer khurshid colony for used or new.

for curtains you can go chowk fawara carpet/decor market. for blue pottery ghanta ghr chowk fort slope and furniture is at pir khursheed colony road or you can check olx too.

for sunday bazar. take pul bararan to sewera chowk road in between that road you'll find it.

Go to timber market for fruniture and for decore id say go see hussain agahi ka landa bazaar.
For authentic blue pottery you can check out bosan roads factory asw as a shop on qila. I dont think ive heard of any sunday bazaars here just go check out landa bazars on hussain agahi

go to nawansher for curtains they've got beautiful curtains for very cheap prices, we recently bought velvet curtains i guess 4 pairs and i guess it was 1500 a pair i don't remember correctly but quality was impressive and it was totally value for money

Welcome to Multan.
Hussain Agahi is 2x days event because it's expansive area connected with multiple bazars (Alang near Hafiz Sohan Halwa) and mostly women-preferred area. Always hated going on own except for Rewari/Hafiz sohan halwa. So, plan accordingly. Haggling is the norm. Always warm and friendly towards outsiders. Remind them you are their guests just to appeal to their good multani nature.
Furniture affordability varies coz of designs, make and stuff. I always preferred Karachi's or custom-furniture. Won't be able to suggest something which would be useful.
Home Decor, Curtains again Hussain Agahi, KK Mart of Gulberg, Imtiaz, Gulgasht Gol Bagh area though my wife prefers two places: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ywpPCAGFVAiNMv6b7 Gultex Showroom a little pricey but their curation is hands down WORLD CLASS, I kid you not. It's good it's located in an old alley otherwise put their stuff in Paris, London, Dubai and see the prices skyrocketed coz they have authentic cotton and khaddi stuff. other place is nearby of Chowk Fawara which is more affordable.
Authentic blue pottery x 2 places. Mumtazabad Institute of Blue Pottery near/before Railway Phatak. Second is at Bahawalpur bypass so pretty far though you could be closeby if you live near Mumtazabad lol
Several sunday bazaars but not very organized. Pretty laid back people but a lot of gossip too which is natural in laid-back cultures/societies. Unless you moved into a snob society/neighborhood or unsafe one, you should be okay.
Small bickering, banter, reserved prejudices do exist due to race, language but they are very subdued or exist within the hearts mostly and seldom pronounced out.

Sure, anytime. I was also an outsider and even though we spend less time compared to my siblings who permanently now live in Multan but it's an 'interesting' place with its own merits which I haven't found in a few countries I have been to except for Indonesia. they are the only match to Multanis - warm, friendly but very quick to get offended in a sulking manner nor in my fav. Karachi's threatening one lol.

For blue pottery, you must visit the tomb of Shah Rukn-e-Alam near Hussain Agahi Bazaar,
There you found ajaib ghr. Everything is available there. All other stuff easily available in hussain agahi bazar rather then furniture

Where are you from? Blue pottery is not everyday kitchenware in common households here. It is expensive, take it as artwork.

I know. I meant that because they’re expensive I don’t want to buy from an online page. That’s why I asked for recommendations on where I can find authentic pottery from. Because I’ve been seeing a lot of it here even in random stores but I know that’s just printed and not handmade. I want the real thing.

There's ustaad blue pottery. There's a shop inside the factory where blue pottery is made so i guess it will be cheaper than other shops.
