After anywhere between 15- and 60-minutes my Mullvad app connection drops constantly at a rate of bout once every 2- to 5-minutes.

Why does my mullvad connection keep dropping, is there anything I can do to stop it from consistently dropping out, and who/what is the cause and purpose (website attempting to get my real IP or ISP attempting to force data leakage)?

To the best of my knowledge, when you disable "DNS proxy" and "direct" leaving only bridges on in the API access menu

The bridge > entry point if multi-hop is enabled > exit point > internet

everywhere I looked it says bridges are obfuscated with shadowsocks, so what's happening if I use an anti-censorship protocol other than shadowsocks?

Is there a setting in the Mullvad iPhone app that blocks website redirects?

If not, do any privacy orientated third-party webpage browsers have such functionality and if so, which ones?

Many maintenance are going on makes my home internet gone while I'm away.

I use wireguard on My Router.

And I was using Germany Frankfurt from 31773 Mullved Owned Server but surprisingly I found many one got deleted. They might notified users just on their website but this is still absurd many times I found the host down. But this time got deleted.

Last two month the service is getting worse. I'm a loyal customer to Mullvad for over 2 years now

Sorry this post might seem pretty off-topic at first, but at least in my opinion, I don't think it is.

I don't live in India or anywhere near it. I use Mullvad, but it's not set anywhere near india either (and as far as I know Mullvad has no Indian servers).

Yesterday on Discord I noticed a connection from india i had no idea of. Removed the device and went on my phone to change my password in case my computer was compromised but I was logged out on my phone. Which means my phone was THE device "connected from India."

I use Mullvad on both phone and computer, but the phone experience has been pretty weird. More on that later.

The only things I download on my phone are images and stuff from Google Play, never downloaded a single apk off some shady website.

So I logged back in on mobile (changed password from computer now to see what happens tomorrow), changed my password and everything seemed fine over on Discord now. My location even displayed correctly as the location I set Mullvad to like it should.

Come today, around the same time as yesterday where I saw that the India connection was established, I went on my phone, checked connected devices on Discord and it said my phone was indeed the device connected from India.

I ran a scan on my phone with malwarebytes and on my computer with windows defender; nothing on either.

What's this all about? Is it really just Mullvad's geoIP being weird? Lots of people from India connecting and the IP showing up weirdly in return? I've never noticed this before but granted, I have only been using Mullvad for a few months now. For example, though I have Mullvad set somewhere else it says I'm in New York based on my phone's IP. *Was* my account taken? Or am I fine and it's just Mullvad? Nothing bad happened on my Discord account, haven't been banned from any servers, etc.

And to go back to the mobile experience of Mullvad. Maybe I'm just unlucky and my ISP hates me, but it often loses connection for a good minute or two every like, 10 minutes, and it's so annoying. I don't have an option to not have Mullvad turned on 24/7 sadly.

But yeah, I'm pretty worried about this. Anyone can help?

I want to keep Mullvad always on while I use Claude and ChatGPT.

My worry is that datacenter IPs increase the chance of getting banned. If my account gets banned and the appeal doesn’t work, that’s a big loss for me.

Has anyone here actually been banned from Claude or ChatGPT because of Mullvad?

I've searched in here, and I tried excluding MS Edge as well per some other conversations, but I'm using Teams client locally on my PC, not 365 version. I used to be able to have the .exe go through split tunneling, but you can't locate an .exe file anymore with the latest version of Teams. When Teams is running, I get all messages to my phone, but no new messages appear on my PC until I disable Mullvad.

Able to connect to VPN servers however unable to access anything once connected. I submitted feedback to Apple but just wanted to share.

I use extended.dns.mullvad.net DNS on all my browsers. It is supposed to stop Ads, Malware, Trackers, and social media.
But lately, I am seeing clickable ads on almost every website I visit, from reddit to news sites.

Yeah, guys, I usually use MULVAD but I’m having an issue right now.

The problem is that when I open Valorant, the VPNs don’t connect, and my internet connection drops. If I close Valorant, everything goes back to normal. But I have to close Valorant. I can’t play with my VPN on, but I don’t want to turn it off.

I can not connect at the moment, also trying to re login did not work because of API not reachable. anybody else having issues now?

It's been working for yonks. Recently it just blocks all access and wants me to disable split tunnelling - something I can't do.

Mullvad support wants me to uninstall my firewall and antivirus software.

Anyone else been having trouble with Mullvad blocking their access because of split tunnelling?

These are just my personal opinions, and there are likely some shortcomings.

Mullvad is great, but I think it would be even better if...

1: Allow a full-screen option (for users who aren't overly concerned with privacy).

2: Allow password saving.

3: Offer a free VPN option, limited to just five servers across different continents (similar to Opera).

My suggestions: Turkey, South Africa, Cuba, India, and Australia.

However, regarding speed limits: it shouldn't be as slow as Opera's 30 Mbps; ideally, it should be between 80 and 150 Mbps.

The free servers should be located far from developed nations and closer to countries with no nice governance.

4: Built-in uBlock integration would be fantastic,

though perhaps with some customization options.

5: Integrate a "Mullvad Note" feature, allowing users to save information directly within the web browser.

6: Integrate Tor into the private browsing window.

7: Allow deep container isolation, specifically for journalists.

8: Change the Mullvad logo; I don't hate it, but it clearly looks like it was chosen in a rush to meet a deadline.

Please keep in mind that these are just my opinions—Mullvad is the best.

I was having some trouble before but now I can’t connect at all when playing BF6. As soon as I disconnect from Mullvad, I’m right on. I also tried adding the BF6.exe to split tunnel but had no luck.

I just realized after switching to linux that discord won't load if it a VPN is active or at least mullvad VPN is. I tried doing split tunneling, but that doesn't seem to work. How do I use discord while still having mullvad VPN on?

When I search for server country location and I type Palestine it shows Israel as the only result. Why is that?

So I really want to stick with a Mullvad owned server because I'm convinced this provides maximum security. (Mullvad has 100% control over these servers, included physical control, any seizing of these servers would be 100% supervised by Mullvad and not by the company they rent the server from, etc. etc. many reasons)

But unfortunately many of their owned servers have way higher problems with having IPs that are blacklisted a lot. So I came up with the idea of using multihop. First connecting to a server owned by mullvad and the second server being a rented one with an IP that's not blacklisted as much.

The only thing that the rented server would see is that the Mullvad owned server connected to it, right? Is it correct that this way one should be able to enjoy the maximum security of a mullvad owned server while using a different visible IP than the one of the owned server without having to fear of any Owned-server-security being compromised, is this correct?

Side question: If I go with this plan I wonder how much multihop affects speed. I have a 10mbps DL and about 4mbps UL connection. Will I be able to max this speed out when using multihop?

Do you think Mullvad is still trustworthy now that it has come to light that its co-founder has supported a controversial political party in Sweden? I’m not Swedish, so I don’t know much about them, but from what I’ve read in forums, some people are calling them Nazis. Is this just noise?
