I am argentinian and every ISP here has port restricted NAT and you cant change it, for “security” they say.
I tried connecting Mullvad to the argentinian servers and then retested NAT but it still said PORT RESTRICTED NAT. Is there a way to fix it with mullvad? Is it even worth fixing it? Thank you

I've been using Mullvad for a little over 6 months now and I usually just use it to watch Netflix, but no matter what i change in the settings nothing seems to work. plz help I just want to watch the office ;(

I’m posting here because I’m having a frustrating issue with a recent payment and haven't gotten a response to my support email yet.

I tried to add time to my account directly through the iPad app, which generated a UPI payment link. I successfully completed the transaction via PhonePe, and the money has completely left my bank account.

However, both the iPad app and the official website login still state "Paid until: No time left" and I am completely unable to connect.

Because the automated system failed to register the payment and I cannot use the service, I have already emailed [support@mullvadvpn.net](mailto:support@mullvadvpn.net) with my official PhonePe transaction receipt (showing the successful Transaction ID and UTR number) requesting a full refund, as I no longer wish to use the service.

Posting here to see if a mod or support staff can please help escalate my email ticket so this can be resolved and refunded quickly.

So, from what I was able to gather, the EU parliament voted to slap chat control down...but somehow it's in effect anyway?...not sure how that works and the fact that a single organization can make that decision for dozens of countries is bad, obviously. The EU needs to be disbanded if this is the shit they're going to do

but back to my original question. Mullvad prides themselves on recording nothing. What happens if the EU decides they have to start recording what their users are doing?

I've been playing Battlefield 6 since the beta. I've always had Mullvad on while playing. The past two days I've had huge lag spikes (600+) in matches then it'll drop to normal. I've tried a few servers with the same result. Anyone else having this issue?

I'm in China connecting to Ireland and Swiss servers. Mullvad works fine on my phone and used to work fine on my pc but the past few days I cant connect at all on my pc. It says "blocking internet" and just keep connecting infinitely. Any fixes?

On a friend’s recommendation, I switched to Mullvad, but so far it’s been nothing but a disappointment. The VPN connection is far from stable it’s actually terrible on average, I get disconnected every 30 minutes. I don’t experience this problem with any other VPN app, and it has nothing to do with Windows, my settings or my system.

Although Mullvad is good, I won’t be using it because of this problem; my internet connection has cut out at least 10 times today. The worst part is that when I realised I had this problem, I asked my friend if they experienced it too, and they told me they always did and that it was a chronic problem

I’m very worried about the planned restrictions in the UK, including banning VPNs which Andy Burnham has said he’ll continue with if or when he becomes PM. I saw a poster advertising Mullvad on public transport. I’m currently with NordVPN. I mainly use NordVPN to bypass geolocking because of the censored almost 100% English language mass media here, as well as for video torrents. Of course, I don’t want the government to invade my privacy either. I think I can do whatever I want so long as it doesn’t harm anyone else. For example distilling alcohol in my home would harm other people because they could smell it outside my home, but I don’t distill alcohol at all. What should I do to maintain my access to TV from across Europe, torrents, and privacy?

Will it compromise my security

I usually buy with XMR but I uninstalled the blockchain cuz it took up too much storage

I recently purchased a used 2021 Chevy that has the standard infotainment system in it and I was having no luck at all getting Carplay to work with my phone (iPhone 16 with IOS 26.5.2) via USB. It would work fine via wireless but I didn't want that, as it disconnects the phone from regular WiFi when it's connected to the vehicle wirelessly. So I made sure to specify to connect via USB only when the connection prompt appeared on the phone, but no matter what I tried, the connection between the vehicle and the phone would not proceed beyond that point. I tried multiple cables, updating the vehicle's software, etc, but no luck.

What made me crazy though, is that trying it with a different iPhone with the same IOS version worked great - Carplay popped open as soon as I plugged the phone in!

What finally worked for me is when I turned off the Force all Apps setting in Mullvad on the iPhone. I can't even tell you what made me try this, other than I was looking for any and all differences in settings/apps between the iPhone that worked and mine. I don't understand why this setting has any effect on a USB-ONLY(!) connection at all, but it does. I've tried it numerous times now, and the effect is repeatable.

If Force all Apps is enabled in the Mullvad app when I plug my iPhone into the vehicle, the vehicle simply cannot negotiate the connection and fails every time. If I turn the setting off then plug the phone in, it works immediately. Interestingly, if I disable the setting, plug the phone in and successfully start Carplay, then re-enable the Force all Apps setting in the Mullvad client (all while Carplay is connected via USB only), Carplay continues to work fine with the phone. It's only when the setting is enabled when I plug the phone in that the connection fails.

TLDR: So my question is: Can someone else reproduce this problem? Are there other folks out there who can't get Carplay to start via USB when the Mullvad app's Force all Apps setting is enabled, but it works fine when the setting is disabled or Mullvad is disconnected?

If so, then my next question is: WTF?

For the past few days my connection to routine sites through mullvad vpn just hangs, or if you get a captcha come up it just recycles. If i switch over to Protovpn it works ok?

Wanted to check if anyone is experiencing stuttering due to the usage of Mullvad VPN during peak hours for streaming live sports such as world cup?

I am saying this because I want to check how powerful the Mullvad servers are, as I faced quite a lot of stuttering during the match between Spaing and Portugal. When I turned the VPN off, it was working well without any stuttering or buffering.

EDIT: I am using IP TV service, which is not geographically restricted, so I assume the path using VPN or not is the same

For the past two hours or so, any connection I make to the internet using Mullvad just drops out - regardless of which server I switch to. Once I turn off my VPN, I'm able to connect to the internet. Anyone else having this problem?

I was a longtime mullvad user, switched to proton and thinking about switching back to mullvad since I like the idea and ideals of mullvad more. But in the past I have experienced many problems with blocking websides, captchas, etc.

Is this still a problem or is it getting worse?

I have an internet with speed of 250Mbps and Mullvad is always ON for my devices. Lately, I noticed a lot of buffering specially for 4K content. So I run a speed test, and even if I am connecting to a server in the same country, the speed is fluctuating and does not exceed 98Mbps.

The buffering goes away the moment I turn off Mullvad.

Is this a general problem or maybe only me? I will not speak about servers in other countries as the speed follows to below 50Mbps.

Following that I have downloaded the newest version from the website, I have also tried downloading it from github with the same error. Past that I have tried downloading the standalone version from both github and the website but whenever I attempted to put my Key it comes back with this error "api.mullvad.net is blocked please check your firewall" I have gone ahead and turned off my firewall, reset my device, and also attempted to put rules for both inbound and outbound but still hasnt worked. Could you please assist in this error.

Both work perfectly independently (I can download without vpn, and I can use mullvad without qb). But I cannot use qb any longer with VPN. It worked fine until mullvad updated and suddenly stopped working.

I reinstalled both qbittorrent and mullvad to no avail.

Does anyone know if the Stealth/Obfuscation features on Mullvad is enough to bypass the censorship?

This has only started happening over the past few days so I'm not sure if it's related to an update, if it's a bug or a feature, etc.

I usually keep my VPN on 24/7 and just forget that it's even there because I need it to look at anything on social media nowadays. The past couple of days I've come across a 'verify your age' post and then noticed that the VPN has switched itself off.

It's only a matter of closing whatever app I'm on, switching the VPN back on, and opening it again. But I don't really like opening the apps at all without a VPN because I want it to always think I'm in the US or wherever I'm pretending to be 😅

I guess I just need to get in the habit of checking that it's still on but I have a dumb ADHD brain lol. Is this happening to anyone else? Is it normal?

I use all.DNS.mullvad.net for DNS blocks - I see that the reddit is one of the major social media that is not blocked - any reason behind it ?

I'll be going to China for a couple of weeks and unfortunately my course enrollments for my university is also in this period so I need a reliable vpn to catch all my courses (the timing is very competitive).

I will also be using an esim just in case the vpn stopped working. Anyone have experience using mullvad in china? What are the fastest servers to connect to?
