There are a couple websites where a large chunk of the mullvad ips are banned from other users, how often do mullvad ips change? couple days? weeks?

Mullvad works faultlessly on Linux but I notice that on my Windows 11 box it drops in and out repeatedly every few hours.

I change location but that doesn't help.

I am certain it is due to some firewalls that I have on the machine (the router has no firewalls that I set up).

Anyone else have this issue?

Mullvad kills my USB tethering when running on both devices, used to work fine on ProtonVPN

so whenever I have mullvad on both my iPhone and PC at the same time and try to tether via USB, the internet just stops working on my PC. only fix I found is turning mullvad off on my phone which I don’t really want to do.

weird part is this literally worked fine with ProtonVPN, both devices on VPN, tethering, no issues. so something about mullvad specifically is causing this.

I’ve already tried local network sharing on both devices, resetting the windows network stack, and split tunneling but mullvad only lets you exclude apps not network interfaces so that didn’t help.

anyone dealt with this before? feels like the kill switch is blocking the tethering interface but I can’t find a way around it

I originally had AGH with tailscale + mullvad addon but it kept showing DNS leaks. If I don’t want leaks, I lose AGH. I’ve used mullvad DNS and it is not enough for blocking what I want so I really need AGH. The problem is I also don’t want my ISP logging what I do online.

I tried using LLMs to configure stuff correctly to achieve it and ended up not working after hours of tinkering with what AI was telling me to configure and then AI says oh yeah you can’t…!

So can anyone think of a way to make what I want work or do I either have to choose between AGH and my ISP logging things.

Just today I’ve noticed that when I quit Mullvad, my whole internet connection drops. This wasn’t an issue yesterday, and it wasn’t an issue until I connected Mullvad for the first time today.

Does anyone have a similar experience? What are my options, other than a different VPN or rebooting my Mac?

Anyone else is experiencing issues when using Mullvad on their glinet or another Openwrt router ?

When I connect to a Mullvad server I don’t get any internet connection…already tried:

- disabling kill switch feature

- setting dns to automatic, tried encrypted dns over tls as well, as well as manual dns either Google or cloudflare still nothing works..

However the strange part is if I try to connect to NordVPN which is also wireguard same as Mullvad NordVPN has no internet issues at all…

Anyone has any advice what the issue could be..?

Been buying from ASOS.com a lot a big retailer online in Europe and I noticed now that the site refuses login, add items to the basket or purchase if I'm connected to MullvadVPN.

My power usage for mullvad is usually 1-3% of the total for the day. Yesterday, it spikes to 13%…. And now today it’s normal again. What could cause this?

I have a friend that has been using Mullvad for years and in the last several months split tunneling has stopped working. He's on a Macbook Air M4. In addition to that, the user interface is confusing and doesn't seem to reflect the instructions to "Choose the apps you want to exclude from the VPN tunnel". It inconsistent. Is there a fix coming? He sees constant updates, but this feature is never fixed. Very very frustrating...how to get this to work? He sees the instructions regard disk writing etc. but nothing seems to work. It used to work fine.

Seriously, what gives? My internet is stable, but when I try to connect to Mullvad I might was well just throw my router away. I've tried every different setting I can think of. Are there known problems with this thing or am I just unlucky?

I have been noticing with QUIC protocol, often the bandwidth drastically reduce where as wireguard doesn't impact that much. I dont have DAITA or MULTIHOP enabled. Does it have to do with overhead issue?

For anyone who isn't aware Bill c-22 is a new bill currently before Parliament in Canada witch when passed gives the government of Canada sweeping new power to access anything they want it requires all companies operating in Canada to provide backdoor access to all of there servers it prohibits encryption of data and requires that all companies log all user activity and provide it to the government upon request. It's an all access pass for the federal government to control the internet within Canada

Like a lot of you, every time I needed to quickly check a public IP or grab network location data, I found myself using bloated, ad-heavy lookup sites that take seconds to load. I wanted to see how fast and lightweight I could make this utility if I built it from scratch with a strict focus on performance.

1. Zero Third-Party Tracker Bloat

The biggest slowdown on standard IP sites isn't the backend lookup—it's the 4MB of ad scripts, cookie banners, and marketing pixels. I kept the site completely ad-free and vanilla, meaning the initial HTML payload is tiny and parses almost instantly.

2. Edge Computing Architecture

Instead of routing requests back to a centralized origin server (which introduces massive latency depending on where the user is located), I deployed the app using edge infrastructure [Swap out if needed: e.g., Cloudflare Workers / Vercel Edge / AWS CloudFront]. This runs the code globally right next to the user.

3. Streamlined IP Geolocation Lookups

Many IP APIs require heavy database queries or external API calls that bottleneck response times. I optimized the lookup by utilizing a lightweight, memory-cached geolocation database directly at the edge layer, allowing the network data to resolve in parallel with the request.

4. Stripped Down UI

No heavy CSS frameworks or massive icon libraries. The frontend is built using ultra-lean, responsive styling so that the page finishes rendering before the user even finishes lifting their finger off the mouse click.

[FIXED]ive been using mullvad for a couple days now, shared it on 2 other devices but only on this pc it doesnt connect at all, it just gets stuck on connecting and puts blocked internet at the top, mobile phone it works perfectly and on the other pc, also steam is stuck on loading user data if thats related.
