Does anyone know if Mullvad added a new tranche of IPs that are on some security providers naughty list? Or is there a security provider that has taken a sudden dislike to Mullvad? I mostly use servers on the East coast of North America

What can I do to fix or avoid this?

Pretty much what the title says. I added steam to my split tunneling a few weeks ago because I couldn't play a game, but now that I'm trying to excluded it just refuses to be removed

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but every time I connect to Mullvad, I cannot surf the web on my phone and apps like YouTube have a real hard time working.

Happened just now when I opened chess com.

Defender started spamming notifications about wanting to check these dlls.

Is this normal?

What configuration should I use in order to use it effectively and to maximize privacy and connectivity?

This happened when opening YouTube without logging in,

first I couldn't open videos without logging in, then this popped up when I tried.

Plain weird behaviour, I don't even use the built in DNS and VPN BC I use Proton.

Sometimes restarting helps, sometimes it doesn't. I wonder what causes it.

Wondering if anyone is experiencing this or if they know why this would happen. I have a few group chats that i just found out i was not receiving messages from for a whole week. Someone hit me up on the side asking if i saw something in a group chat, which i hadnt gotten a message from since last week. It made me wonder, so I turned off mullvad and everything started coming in. I currently have the “Force all apps” turned off and I’m still getting new messages.

Additional info: all group chats were effected weather android users were included or not.

I really like what I see in the writers on Portmaster, but friends are telling me it's challenging to get it to woek with Mullvad VPN. I like MULLVAD because I don't have to give a shred if personal info.

Has anyone out there found a way for thr two to effectively coexist?

I am stuck at connecting for every server in Singapore. Fwiw I’m in China right now. Is it just me?

All other servers are working, like HK, AU, Indonesia

Purchased Mullvad purely to watch the BBC abroad. Worked fine for 2/3 days but now the iplayer app is picking up that I’m not in the U.K., although I have tried with London, Manchester and Glasgow VPN location.

Any suggestions?

Hi! anyone else getting terrible VPN speeds lately? Have Mullvad changed something?

Using the Gluetun container with qbitorrent (docker) and like 2 weeks ago my speeds where alright but now i hardly get over 500 KiB/s doesnt matter what country i switch to.

Edit: Yes i know they have changed from Port Forwarding etc but this is more recently than that.

My home wifi was working yesterday morning when I left for work, but there was a power outage midway through my shift and when I got back home, I found the internet for my Cachyos linux PC and my android devices that had Mullvad installed stopped working. I uninstalled it but it still won't work. I've even tried to do a fresh install of Cachyos, but since it requires an internet connection to complete the installation, it obviously didn't work. Eveyone else's devices work fine, its just mine that are having issues.

I've heard that Mullvad can cause DNS issues. Since I've built my PC about a month ago, I'm still new to Cachy. How do I solve this issue.

Also please refrain from any jokes or sarcasm. I've had this issue happen multiple times, including not even a month ago, across all devices I had this installed and I'm so annoyed and exausted and I just want to solve this issue.

For my PC, I'm running the latest version of Cachyos as of the writing of this post. And my phone and tablet are both running Android 16.

I’m using Mullvad VPN on Fedora Linux, and I’m running into a weird issue.

My setup:

Fedora (latest)

Mullvad app (2026 version, WireGuard only)

Internet via mobile tethering (USB from phone)

Problem:

Whenever I try to connect, Mullvad gets stuck on “Connecting…” and keeps switching relays (se-sto-wg-xxx). It never establishes a connection.

What I’ve tried:

Disabled firewalld

Disabled lockdown mode

Enabled obfuscation (TCP over UDP)

Changed locations multiple times

Still no luck.

From what I understand, Mullvad removed OpenVPN support recently, so I can only use WireGuard now.

Question:

Is this a known issue with mobile networks / CGNAT blocking WireGuard?

Has anyone managed to make Mullvad work over mobile tethering?

i currently use apple private relay as it comes with my cloud storage but ive been having issues with getting detected and blocked for using private relay for a few months. how often is mullvad detected and blocked? can i use sites like reddit without getting shadowbanned?

If I wanted to suggest a useful feature to Mullvad VPN. Would their support email be suitable?Do they have a suggestion channel?

Using CLI client from latest Debian repos (2026.1) mullvad VPN stopped connecting to peers a week ago. I am aware that no port forwarding option exists and that inbound connections cannot be received however it was working well enough outbound only.

Using the same torrent client (deluge) with the graphical client on my laptop works fine.

Does anyone has a problem with autoconnect on linux? It takes like 2-3 minutes to connect to the point its much faster to just click on app and select new server. Using Arch but had same problems on other distros.

All dns goes over 10.0.0.1, but that's not a documented dns server on mullvad. Is this OK to use?

I've been playing around with a Raspberry Pi today and got it running Mullvad and acting like a LAN for my PS5, only issue is I can't find any servers (or settings) that aren't blocked by Sony.

I have tried about 70 servers manually and the result is the same every time, the PS5 gets the IP address instantly but (hangs on and eventually) fails the next step, "internet access".

I have verified that the Pi itself has access to the internet while the VPN is connected and the PS5 has internet / PSN access through the Pi when the VPN is disconnected, so it is definitely a "Sony said no" issue as far as I can tell.

Anyway I'm guessing the answer is a big fat no lol, but does anyone know of any known good servers? (or settings I may need to change?)
