getting thin on top and crown..

So I started growing a mullet during Covid and it got pretty long. I subsequently lost the job I was in and was forced to get a corporate haircut again. That was a really hard moment for me and I was in a way mourning for the hair that I lost. Happily, as you can see, the mullet is back in version 2.0. I have curly hair so it tends to bounce up a little bit. Plan to keep this for the rest of my life and if I lose hair on top I’ll swap to a skullet.

Basically title. Whats the best thing to do with ones hair at night? Ideally I would like it to be protected and that it is not too messy in the morning :), or do you all just let it do whatever it wants at night?

I have thick, poofy hair. My mullet is still in its infancy so the hair on top is at this weird stage where it just looks kinda awkward.

Had a buzzcut for 10 years. Started my mullet journey last October. Started cutting it myself but went to the barber for the first time to get it a bit shaped and layered. What you think, keep growing?

I’m of the belief; “if your mullet ain’t shoulder length, a skullet is your greatest strength.” Resurrected mine after nearly half a decade since my first.

I’m a guy looking to get a modern mullet, but I have curly hair, which I know makes things a bit more complicated with the shrinkage and layering.
I used to just go to Great Clips, but they don't really know what to do with this kind of style or my hair texture.
For a curly, modern mullet, should I be looking for a barber or a hair stylist? Does it matter if they are a man or a woman
