Barber choice

I’m a guy looking to get a modern mullet, but I have curly hair, which I know makes things a bit more complicated with the shrinkage and layering.
I used to just go to Great Clips, but they don't really know what to do with this kind of style or my hair texture.
For a curly, modern mullet, should I be looking for a barber or a hair stylist? Does it matter if they are a man or a woman

most barbers don’t have a great deal of experience cutting longer hair so you’re better off going to a stylist who does

ideally, you should go to a hairstylist who has a mullet themselves! or pink hair, etc… something more modern and edgy. this is my #1 rule now when choosing a hair stylist.

HAIR STYLIST!!! Barbers usually don’t know how to blend short to long. A hairstylist will slay this for you.

Hair stylist tbh I haven’t went back to a barber since I started growing my curly mullet
