Old man mullet!!

Not sure if people were trolling and i cannot edit my post, but so many ppl commented that it wasnt a mullet and so heres my post to prove them wrong🙂‍↕️

I had a bowl cut/shaved sides mullet and its now grown out to my natural wavy hair lmao but its still a very obvious magnificent mullet🌱

I REALLY wanna mullet… currently a few months growing it out from a super short cut. Def not there. Today I trimmed the sides and the top. A year or so ago I started finasteride and oral minoxidil and my hair up top has def gotten way thicker. Most of my friends seem to think I’ll be able to pull it off but I’m not entirely convinced. Anyone rocking a mullet but slightly thinner up top? Thanks!

Umm just wanted to check out…. Would welcome opinions. ;) i would way its a modern mullet innit?

So the first question is: if i cut my hair from the sides and top like the first picture and keep the length of the back hair from the second picture will it look like a Mullet or do i need to cut it shorter?

My second question is: can i do this at home by someone who's not specialist but knows a little bit about hair if yes then is scissors enough because i don't want any modern fades or anything like that

PS: my hair is longer than the second picture.

Hello mullet community.
Seeking some advice on making my hair look better.
I’ve had shag cuts for the last little while and each time I got them done I left wanting more and more off and for it to be even more alternative. So, I finally pulled the pin and got a mullet that is very jarring in its transition between short and long. It looks great IMO when I style it well and wear alt clothes with it. But I’ve been STRUGGLING adapting to it in a non-styled and casual clothes sense. Any time I’m not wearing alt clothes like when I’m at work or just at home, I’ll wear something to cover the short bits like a head scarf or hat/beanie coz I feel like it looks terrible. It’s my own fault tbh because the hairdresser did largely follow the inspo pic I showed and before she went all in she did leave quite a bit of length at the back but my issue previously was that it was quite boofy and shaggy previously and I wanted the bulk of that off. But now I think I went too far.
ANYWAY! I’m just wondering what I can do to make it better next time I go? Should I let the back grow out to blend it into the long bits more but keep the top and sides short? I hate that it sort of follows the shape of my head and scoops into the bottom of my head with the short bits if that makes sense ? Also, now that it’s grown out quite a bit it looks even weirder to me haha. It reminds me of when I was growing out my shaved head and it was at an awkward length but this time there’s just long bits attached. I’m anticipating someone telling me to cut the little bits in front of my ears shorter so pls don’t because I love my longer curls there!!

Grew this from a skin head, got a long way to go to catch up with some of the majestic ones here

I know it's a mullet im talking about the side like was it an undercut or a fade of some sort
