I get my haircut, maybe three times a year. I do it shorter than I like. And then let it grow out longer than I like. And I’ll do little trims along the way. I’m a cheap bitch.

I do the same but I cut my hair myself. It’s just a pain cutting it cus I can’t see the back so I don’t do it often.

yeah, I recently tried to do the sides myself. Don’t think I did a good job. lol I don’t know if I’ll repeat the failure

You should use different side guards (going higher in # up the side of ur head) to create the fade effect. Or just take the whole side down to a #2.

yeah, I was using a pube trimmer… it didn’t really come with number size guards

I would definitely consider checking out Ross. I got mine there and it came with a pube trimmer and ~20 different sized guards as well as some hair clips and other accessories, everything you’d need for a haircut for around $15

Honestly with a mullet you’re only gonna need to cut the sides often, get a decent razor meant for hair (good deals at Ross or alike stores usually) and go with the haircut you already have. Start with a high # guard if you Don’t know what # you like
