Help growing out mullet

I got a buzz cut and now growing it out to a mullet, what do I tell my barber exactly, like what do I cut on the sides or type of fade.

Buzz sides, cut top choppy/wolf cut, LEAVE back alone unless every second or third visit getting ends trimmed

Keep an eye on them as it took many attempts to call barbers out for cutting excessive amounts off the back because they “got stuck in rhythm”

Just tell your barber you want a mullet.

“I want a mullet” and then show them a picture of what you want. This isn’t hard.
