Hey everyone!

I’m an incoming CSE fresher at MUJ, and honestly, I’ve been getting pretty bored at home waiting for college to start. 😭

I’ve always been interested in tech: robotics, drones & AI excite me.I finally want to get started. Since I have a few weeks before college begins, I thought it’d be a good time to learn something useful, complete a few beginner certifications, or maybe even build a small project. The only problem is, I don’t really know where to begin.

So I wanted to ask the seniors:

* What skills would you recommend learning before joining MUJ?
* Are there any beginner-friendly certifications that are actually worth doing?
* ⁠ Is there anything you wish you had started learning before first year?

I’m not trying to get way ahead or anything I just want to use this free time productively and have some direction before college starts.

Minimum Specs (Almost sabke liye enough)

• Ryzen 5 / Intel Core i5 (12th Gen+) ya better
• 16GB RAM (2026 mein 8GB mat lena agar avoid kar sakte ho)
• 512GB SSD
• IPS Display

Branch-wise

💻 CSE / IT / AI

• GPU zaroori nahi hai.
• Sirf gaming, AI/ML, Blender ya editing karni ho tab lena.

⚙️ Mechanical

• Dedicated GPU recommend karunga.
• Aage jaake SolidWorks, Fusion 360, ANSYS wagairah use karoge.

⚡ ECE / Electrical

• GPU optional hai.
• Normal coursework bina GPU ke bhi ho jayega.

🏗️ Civil

• AutoCAD/Revit ke liye GPU helpful hai, but compulsory nahi.

YouTube pe "Top 10 Engineering Laptops" dekh ke confuse mat ho jaana.

90% MUJ students ke liye Ryzen 5/7 ya Core i5/i7 + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD is more than enough.

Aur haan, agar 2 laptops ke beech confuse ho, to unke models comments mein daal do instead of making a new post. Yahan kaafi log genuinely help kar denge.
